Caught

Chapter 8

"Ok, so your brother cut up your moms clothes?!" I managed to say, in between my laughing.

Chase chuckled. "Yep. She was madd. It was even worse when she made me go shipping with her." He shook his head. "The bra isle can seriously damage a 9 year olds self esteem."

I grinned. We have been swapping stories for about twenty minutes, and we were sitting on the pier, our legs dangling off the sides. I was sipping at my lemonade, and Chase doing the same with his Diet Coke.

"So what's your favorite color?" He asked, looking over at me. I laughed, and looked into his beautiful eyes.

I thought. "Blue." I looked away, and smiled. "And yours?"

"Don't laugh." He said, smiling a toothy grin.

I made a, who me? expression.

"Pink." A short laugh escaped my lips, only to cover my mouth quickly.

"You promised!" He laughed, and started to grab me to push me into the water.

I shrieked, and got up immediately, running off the pier and onto the strangely deserted beach. I ran, and knew I was far ahead. Not before I felt large hands enclose around my waist. I screamed when I was easily lifted off from the ground, and into Chase's arms. He grave me an amused,evil-grinned. He ran into the water, and was knee deep.

"Chase, don't you d-ahhhh!!" My last word was interrupted when Chase let go of me, and I felt the cold water hit me, soaking me completley. I stood up, my arms were at a bent angle, and I was gaping. He smirked.

"See what happens when you-ahh!" The same happened to him, when i sprung onto him, bringing him down into the water. We both stood up, and I grinned.

"See what happens?" I mocked.

"Remind me to never mess with you."

I laughed and he stopped. He stepped forward, and moved a piece of my hair out of my face, tucking it behind my ear. My breath caught in my throat. Was he going to-

He pressed his lips to myne, and I responded.
