As soon as Mia got home, I rambled about my encounter with Chase.

But when I was done, her mood changed.

"Oh. That's cool. But I wouldn't think anything of it, there's a lot of nice guys around here. The same thing somewhat happened to me too."

Her cheeks turned the faint color of red, and I knew that was her tell-tale sign of lying. I tried to bypass my anger, and irritation, but how could she lie to me? And more importantly, why? All these questions raced through me, and I was looking at Mia's innocent face. I decided to lie back, because her ignorance was annoying me.

"Your probably right." She only nodded, and turned to her phone.

"Don't worry about it, you'll find a guy. Oo how bout Brice Anderson? At school? He's kinda cute! I think he has a thing for you.."

I just stared at her. Brice Anderson was the nerdiest, most strangest kid in our school. She would always say how weird, and ugly he was. The fact was, she had also said that any girl that would be willing to go out with him would probably be the same. I rolled my eyes, and without saying a word, walked up to my room.

The next day, it was raining, so we had spent the day at the movies. We saw animation, for the sake of Sophie, and also because they only had animation movies. Of course.

Mia had brightened up though, having no trace of her recent mood swings. I went over and over in my mind on why she was being so weird. Maybe she was uncomfortable? Or maybe it was just first-day jitters sort of thing. I had no idea, and I eventually settled on forgetting it. Days passed, and no chace. I had begun crazy. Thinking of him, contemplating on whether to hang up signs..- oh god that would be bad. Why would I every think that. Nice one Ally, we might as well feed the boy to the sharks. He'd probably think I'm a stalker.

On Saturday, I was going out of my mind. I decided to go for a walk, to clear my head. So I set out, a bag containing my beach towel, a water bottle, sunscreen, and an apple. With my new bathing suit on under a cover up, I walked down toward the heart of the town, deciding to go the beach where most people were. When I got there, I took out my towel, and laid it on the ground. I dropped my bag, and with a quick motion, took off my cover up. I pulled my hair into a bun, realizing it had gotten hotter since this morning when I made my judgement call on the temperature. I was obviously wrong.

Walking toward the water, I tentatively stepped in. It was cool, and I dove in. That's right, dove. Because like the idiot I am, let's just say my bathing suit was really meant for "hardcore" swimming. And in less then five seconds, my top comes flying up, and I emerge from the water standing up, none other than realizing that I didn't have a top. I felt a breeze, and then I finally understood what was going on. I dunked quickly back under, hoping no one saw my mishap. I was utterly embarrassed, but it soon became even worse when I saw a little kid coming out of the water. He had my top with him, and a playful grin. My eyes widened, and I continued to stare in horror. I'd hope he'd hear my mental telepathy, and I silently begged him to come back and be a nice kid. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, the little boy continued to walk up, his tiny legs bringing him further away from me. He stopped at an older looking boy, probably about my age. He handed him my bikini top, and he took it, an amused smile starting to play on his face. No, no no no. It can't be.He looked up, straight into my eyes. Chase.
