Going through breakups suck. Especially when you find out the person you trusted most of all, has cheated on you with your best friend. Mia and I have shared minor conversation, but have definitely not stretched farther. Mom, for that instance has been in cleaning mode. Every year, my cousin Kyle comes to stay with us. Now, as much as he is my cousin, he is very good looking if I do day so myself. Nineteen years old, and I am still acutely attracted to him. Oh no, not in that way. But it is completely natural. Even though we are close, I still love him like a cousin. So because he was paying us his yearly visit, it was something to take my mind off Chase.

"Girls! Vincent's here!" Mom shouted from the kitchen. He was her favorite nephew. But than again, he was everyone's favorite. Kyle's parents were killed in a car crash when he was sixteen, placing him in the care of our other aunt. So, my mom loves him like a son.

Running into the living room, I hugged Kyle tightly.

He grinned. "Well hello there Ally." I laughed, and motioned to Mia who had just walked into the room.

"This is Mia." That's all. I didn't want to explain our relationship at this point, because to say so myself, I didn't know what it was. Awkward I guess. I know, I should be grateful that she took the time to actually tell me the truth about him. She is, after all, being honest.

Mia sensed my lack of description, but shook Kyle's hand with a wary smile.

"It's nice to meet you. I'm Ally's best friend." I didn't add anything, just stood dumbfounded.

He looked back and forth between us, his glaze flickering. "It's nice to meet you too. I've heard so much about you." He's lying, I know that. But Mia smiled, and looked at me with a warm expression.

Sophia peeks around the corner, a large grin plastered on her face. Kyle spots her, and widens his arms.

"Hey sunshine!" Kyle calls Sophia sunshine, because when she was younger, her baby hair was white blonde. Of course, it depleted along the years of age, turning into a dirty blonde. But he still called her the adorable nickname.

Sophia ran forward, and jumped into his arms. Everyone says their hellos, and one by one people diminish until it's just sophia, Kyle, and I. Mia claimed she had to finish something, and returned back into her cave.

Moving to the porch, we all sat down on the comfy lounge chairs.

"So? How's the army?!" Sophia almost bounces out of her chair, as blinked her eyes. Kyle visits us in the summer because his base is near Oceanesq.

He grinned, enjoying Sophia's excitement. "It's going good. Because it's my second year, I only get about a week off due to the good placement I'm in with the general. He likes me." He adds with the wink of an eye. Who wouldn't?

"That's great. We have to go in town or something while your here." I said, trying to push Chase out of my thoughts. It's not going well.

He nodded. "Sounds like fun. Your friend seems nice. "

I shrugged.

Sophia pipes up."Ally and Mia are avoiding each other ever since-"

"Soph! Can we not?" I interrupt, with much more force than I intended. She shrunk back. Chase flickers into my mind once more. I flinch.

Kyle looks back in forth between us, smiling mischievously. "Ever since what?"

I looked at Kyle. Why not? "Ever since my boyfriend, whom I met here, cheated on me with her."

Kyle's eyes widened, as he opened and closed his mouth, not sure of what to say.

I hold up a hand. "It's nothing, I'm over it."
