"Question." Chase's voice asked, his velvet tone helping me fall harder for him.

I smiled. We were walking along the beach. Me, in my my stark white bikini, and him, in his black swim shorts. Oh, hot, dayum.

"What, is your favorite flower?"

I mock groaned. "What if I don't have one?" I teased.

He smirked. "I'm pretty sure everyone has a favorite flower." Looking over at me, his eyes trailed once over my lips, and I blushed looking away.

I looked up into the sky, obviously trying to think of something. I actually did not have a favorite flower, and honestly had never thought about it. I grinned, and looked over at him. His gaze was soft, and i decided to lie.

"Rainbow tulips, and cactuses."

He frowned, not catching on to my sarcasm." Really?"

I stifled a laugh.

*~*

"So," he started. We were under a lone pier, that no one used anymore. I found it beautiful, and here we were.

I was leaning against the post, and heard the water crash against the shore. Following this brief moment, I felt the water curl up over my bare feet.

"So?" I asked.

He glanced at me. "So, does your family know about us?"

I froze. "No."

He looked confused. "Wh-," he was cut off. A boy, running over to us, waving his hands.

"Parker." He somehow answered my dawning question. He sighed, shaking his head. "He's my best friend."

I nodded, looking over to Parker. He was-what else?- shirtless. His abs looked unbelievably strong, and it took all of my strength to not crumble before him. I am such a girl.

"Hey dude." Parker approached, giving Chase a bro-shake. "The guys are looking for you."

He looked over at me, as if he just noticed my presence. "Oh." Was all he said. Nice.

He studied me, then a slow smile crept onto his face. "Ah. So your.."

I cocked an eyebrow. Parker wasn't making a very good first impression. I watched him, and it looked like something clicked.

"Ally." I was surprised. I smiled, and reached out my hand. "Nice to meet you."

I know, formal but who could blame my over protective parents? He returned the favor without a second of hesitation.

"Parker." He playfully punched Chase, and looked back to hold my gaze once more. "So, your the one who's takin' up all his time."

Chase reddened, and huffed. "Isn't there some place you need to be, Parker?"

Parker grinned, and tapped his head. "Hm, don't think so."

I giggled, enjoying his squirming. Chase grunted, glaring at Parker. Parker held up his hands in surrender, "Okay, okay. Leaving."

He turned to me, "Nice to meet you, Ally." Dipping his head, his glided off.

I grinned. "He's nice. Does he live here too?"

"Who knows." He chuckled.

I pulled out my phone, and checked the time. Shoot, I was late.

"I have to go, my friend will be suspicious."

He nodded, understandingly. "Okay..Ill see you tomorrow?"

I put my phone away, and smiled. "Yep. Same place?"

He looked distant, then snapped back. A smile smile crept into place, as he walked over to me. Chase placed his fingers under my chin, and tilted my head upward. I stood up onto my toes, and gently kissed him.

I ran home, not wanting Mia to wonder. Almost there. I could see Sophie playing in the water in her new bikini. As much as I loved her, I secretly envied her body. Stepping up onto our wooden stairs, I brushed my feet off against the bristle carpet.

"Where have you been?" Mia's voice suddenly came. I jumped. Mia was sitting on the porch, her sunglasses perched on here nose, and her hair piled into a bun. She looked like a model.

"Walking. On the beach." I answered.

"With who?"

Uh oh. Lie, Ally! "No one. " I answered calmly. "It's calming, you should come next time."

"I'm good. You know me. Hating to get up early."

I crossed my arms. "Yep."

She raised a questioning eyebrow. "You've been getting up early a lot, latley. Care to explain?"

I shrugged. "I like the sun coming up. Like I said, it's calming in the morning on the beach." I looked around, desperate to change the subject.

"Where are my parents?"

She shrugged, "They went fishing, I think."

I nodded. Silence crept on like the cracks of a lake. Oh, poetry! This moment is beyond awkward. I clicked my tongue.

"Well I better get inside. I'm hungry."

She nodded, but didn't answer.

"Want anything?"

She looked over at me. "Nope."
