Chase. Chase Chase Chase Chase Chase. His eyes felt me feel weak, his perfect hair, and his body..-"Ally? Ally!" My mothers voice filled out vacation house, riveting off the white walls. I stood up from my daydreaming state.

"Yeah?" I yelled back.

She came out of the hallway, and blew out a breath.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in awhile!" She said, cocking her eyebrow.

I shrugged, "I guess I've been.. Busy." I struggled to find the right word. Busy was nothing of what I was doing, but on the other hand, it was just that. Chase was in my life now, and I saw him almost every day. My phone vibrated against my leg, and made me shiver. Reaching down to grab it, Mom cut me off.

"Woa, young lady. Sit." She instructed for me to stop what I was doing. She had that mom look, and I chose not to argue. I plopped down on the black, leather couch, and looked at her under my lashes. She also sat, and placed her hands on my own.

Mom grinned. "So?!" She suddenly squealed. "What does he look like!"

I was alarmed. So she knew. What?

I tried to play it cool. "Umidontknowwhatyourtalkingabout." rambling was obviously my thing. Good job, Ally.

She smirked, then regained her strange teenage excitement. "Sooo... What does Chase look like?"

I let my mouth drop.

She saw my expression, and looked slightly guilty. "I might've read your diary."

"Mom!" Feeling my cheeks redden, and she smiled.

"If you need anything," she paused, moving her eyebrows up and down, "just let me know."

"Mom!" I was not having this conversation. I got up, and placed my hand on her shoulder.

"Mom, I love you, but to be honest, your weird." I quickly scooted out of the room and pulled open the sliding glass door. Stepping out onto the porch, I pulled out my phone and saw a text alert from Chase.

Movie night on the beach tonight.. I was thinking of bringing a special girl.. You in?

I smiled, loving the feeling of having a boyfriend. I texted back,

Sounds great:) ill meet you at our pier.

"Mia." I said feeling like I've rehearsed her name for the millionth time that night. "I told you, I'm just going for a walk on the beach. Not a big deal. I just want to be alone, okay?" The lie slipped out so easily, causing my stomach to churn with guilt. I hated to lie, especially to Mia. I looked back at her, and continued to brush my hair.

She glared, looking me up and down. "Oh, so that's why you keep brushing your hair every five minutes. If you keep doing that," she said, pointing at my hand, which was gripping my brush, "you'll have no hair left. I don't want a bald best friend."

I opened my mouth, then closed it, realizing I had nothing to say. She was lying on her bed lazily, half her body cocked up because of her elbow. But she wasn't done.

"And why are you dressed so.. Nicely." Wow. A compliment.. Thought I wouldn't hear that again.

I shrugged, and leaned into the mirror to apply mascara. Wait-

"Why, are you putting on mascara?!" She exclaimed, sitting up and crossing her arms. I froze. Crap.

I whipped around."Because, Mia. Maybe I want to look good for the crabs!" And with that, I made a clear beeline for the door.

If you have ever noticed, walking on the beach when angry is quite hard. The wet sand is hard to stomp through, and by the time I got there, my lungs were gasping for air from running.

Chase saw me, and started to laugh. I punched his arm.

"Nice to see you too." He grinned, and looped his arm around my waist. Placing a deep kiss on my lips, smiled and whispered, "It's nice to see you."

I laughed. He grabbed my hand, and led me toward the lovely setup he had obviously done. Placed cleanly on the ground, was a red towel. Next to it, was a basket filled with sodas, and flowers. I gasped, turned into his chest, and placed a hand on him.

"It's amazing. Thank you." He smiled, and I could faintly make out the eyes I had fallen in love with. The night atmosphere made everything seem.. Good.

(Mia's POV)

I sat, stunned. Did Ally just, walk out on me? I decided I wanted to know what was going on.. Now. I got up from my position on the bed, and slipped my feet into flip flops. Taking one last look at my reflection in the mirror, i breathed out a breath. After all, I wanted to look good for the crabs.
