Alexis's pov

I waited at the front entrance today Jane returned to work and her baby would be joining her and best believe I'd be snatching up her baby the moment she steps in

I made a rule if you're feeding your infant you can bring them and you will be allowed hourly breaks ,or how ever long, breaks to feed

I had so much leniency to pregnant women and new mothers

She stepped in and smiled then frowned running over her Baby cradled to her chest with a sling "Highness you're in a wheelchair what happened?"

I sighed "I fell down the stairs"

She looked at my foot "goodness gracious but you're okay right ma'am?"

I nodded "I'm fine Harry's taking care of me" I smiled up at him

He cracked a smile "good to see you again Jane Majesty has plots to take your baby" he chuckled

"Ooo yes I do gimme that precious little girl" I held my arms out she  nodded taking the baby out of the sling passing her to me "aww is that the dress I gave her?" I asked rubbing my fingers over the extremely elaborate bright silk embroidered flowers over the simple white linen dress

"Of course it is it's the finest clothes she has she has to look her best her first day in the palace" she smiled widely

"How does Gwen handle the baby?"

"Well but not the best when Delilah cries Gwen tells her not to be a whiny baby" she laughed

"Awww" I cooed

"Majesty would you like to hold her while I work? You can call for me if she gets to be too much and I'll come for her feeding" she offered knowing how I swoon over babies

"Ooooh gosh yes Jane I'll take her to my room do you mind?"

"Of course not I'll see you both soon" she stroked her daughters head then walked to the wash room I looked at Harry

"Can you take us up please?"

"My pleasure" he nodded and walked to the stairs where a temporary ramp had been put in he pushed us up and into my room I bit my lip

"Hold her while I switch chairs" I held her out he went wide eyed

"Uh n-no no I-I've never held a child before" he backed up

I furrowed my eyebrows "what?"

"I-I'm an only child and by the time there was babies in my family I was in training I've never held an infant I don't wanna drop her" he kept away from me

"Harry you've gotta learn to hold a baby" I shook my head "sit" I padded the chair I was gunna get in

"My Queen that's not in my job description" He mumbled

I laughed "we've stomped on your job description Styles you know that and what if I have a baby you won't help?" I raised my eyebrows

He groaned and sat down "fine" he grumbled I smiled at his poutiness

"Here like this" I positioned his arms in a cradling way I passed her to him slowly he sucked in a deep breath "calm down she's okay you've got this bring her a bit higher" I raised his arms up from his lap

She started to whimper

"She's crying! she's crying what do I do" he panicked

I put a hand on his shoulder "calm down she's okay you moved her that's all" she was quieted "babies just whine sometimes don't worry"
