Falconstar looked out on camp. Every day someone out there would remind her of the prophecy that Moonstar told moons ago when she was a kit. There will be four. One of each, F has...
"Falconstar!" Moonsong called interrupting her thoughts.
"Yes?" Falconstar asked.
"Have you seen Stonepaw or Bluepaw? The hunting patrols can't go without them because their mentors Snowfall, and Squirrelflow are leading the patrols."
"Have you checked High Rocks?"
"No. I did not think of that! Thanks!"
Laughing it seemed that Snowfall and Squirrelflow were always losing Falconstar's two sons. Luckily for them, Falconstar almost always knew where they were. It was like she had a link with the two. Getting up, Falconstar started to head outside when she heard Jayflight calling to her.
"Falconstar!" Jayflight called.
"Oh!" Falconstar said with a chuckle.
"You know that you are not supposed to leave camp without my permission. Especially right after you had Leopard's tail!" Jayflight said sternly.
Falconstar's tail still had spots of fur missing. She was tempted to complain that there was no pain, but she knew that it would be no good.
"We can't have one of the cats from the Prophecy lose a life when she can preserve it," Jayflight said.
"You know that I am probably not part of the prophecy," Falconstar mumbled.
"Says the cat who is the leader of FalconClan. You are with the leaders of StormClan, MouseClan, and AppleClan."
It did make sense that one of the four was her, but she did not want to believe it.
"It would make sense but I don't think that it is me. No matter what my mother told me when I was a kit." Falconstar sighed.
"We all miss Littlewave." Jayflight mewed.
No one knew exactly what had happened to Littlewave. All they knew was that she had died that night, and in the morning she was found all mangled as if she fought a she-cat that was protecting her kits. She had been so mangled up that not even Foxnose with the help of Jayflight could tell what had happened to her all that they could find was tuffs of muddy fur in her claws. Falconstar had been a kit then and she had noticed that Jayflight had been so tired that day as if he had not slept at all that night he also smelled as if he had been outside the camp. Like all kits, Falconstar had wanted to go outside the camp. When she smelled the scent on him, she wanted to ask him about it. But her focus was averted for she had been too focused on her mother.
"You know, I have always wondered why you were so tired that day. You also smelled like you had just been outside." Falconstar said to herself.
"Oh! I had just gone outside for a walk and ended up walking all night because I thought that I smelled a No-pelt so I headed off that way and I stumbled on......on Littlewave. It startled me, so I ran all the way back to camp just as the sun was rising and the Rise patrol was sent out just after I came back." Jayflight said in a rush
"Fine, but if you did smell No-pelt," Falconstar said, "we should be very careful"
The only thing that troubled her was when he stumbled on the word on. That night Falconstar had a strange dream. She had dreamt that she was walking with Littlewave, Whitecloud, Golden-nose, Moonstar, and Sunstar. Suddenly Moonstar and Littlewave whipped around and said young one, be careful that the true father and mother do not reveal themselves. For if they do, then goodbye. Suddenly she disappeared into a cloud of mist. Whitecloud and Golden-nose whispered the same thing as they walked near Falconstar, disappearing in the mist. Sunstar padded forward only to say be careful. Then he vanished too.
"Littlewave! Moonstar! Whitecloud! Golden-nose! Sunstar! Don't leave me please!" she yowled.
Suddenly there was a prodding in her side and she was awake.
"Falconstar? Are you okay?" Flamesky asked clearly worried.
"I am fine." She whimpered, "I think that I am going to check on Badgerstripe now though"
"I will come with you."
