Chapter 13
Jayflight woke with a start. Three glowing figures stood in front of him. The first one stepped forward. It was clear who it was from her black pelt to her Amber eyes.
"Hello Moonstar." Jayflight mewed
"Jayflight" Moonstar responded
The second and third one was cats that he had never seen before. The second one was calico with green eyes. The third one was blue grey with blue eyes.
"This is Leafstar," Moonstar said pointing to the calico, "and this is Waterstar." This time she pointed at the blue grey cat.
"Leafstar, Waterstar" Jayflight mewed
Leafstar and Waterstar just nodded.
"We have a warrining for you." Moonstar mewed
"Watch out for the kit" Leafstar chided not giving very much information
"Her best friend knows the truth," Waterstar sighed before going on, "Talk to the mouse or you will fall."
"That makes it sound like I have to go crazy! Wait please explain.." Jayflight yeowled but not before the past leaders vanished.
Slowly he padded out of the medicine cat den past the leaders den to find Thunderkit telling Lightninkit something. Even more slowly he lightly stepped closer to the two kits to hear better.
"I'm telling you Lightningkit. Sunstar came to me last night and tapped my head with his tail and it reminded me of it."
"Yeah right Thunderkit. Your not a medicine cat you know."
"Well, I know that there is a dark side and a light side. If you don't believe me I will tell someone who will."
With that Jayflight watched as Thunderkit tried to race out the camp entrance only to be blocked by Moonsong. Quickly Jayflight got up to tell Falconstar what Moonclan had told him and what he had just seen. It was all adding up to fast. Clearhop kicking a fox off the ledge and into the training cliffs, Squirrelflow surviving being crushed by a bolder, Thunderkit knowing something that was true. It was proven by Moonclan to be true. Three of the four leaders of the past had told him so. Moonstar, leader of falconclan, Leafstar, leader of stormclan, and Waterstar, leader of Appleclan. That just left Mouseclan. Suddenly the daylight grew dimmer telling Jayflight that he had entered the den in the side of tall rock.
"Jayflight." Falconstar's tired voice came from the corner of the cave.
"Falconstar we need to talk."
"Flamesky, wake up Jayflight is here to talk so you will have to go. I'm sorry."
Flamesky gently put his nose in Falconstar's fur then got up and left the den.
"I am truly sorry for waking you up Falconstar but Moonclan visited and told me to talk to Mouse which I think is mouseclan considering that Moonstar, Leafstar, and Waterstar came. They also told me that we needed to keep an eye on a kit who's friend knew the truth," Jaflight took a short break to catch his breath before continuing, "And this morning I saw and heard Thunderkit talking to Lightingkit about Sunstar and a darkside and a lightside of Moonclan."
"So you are asking for permission to go to mouseclan. Wile at the same time asking for someone to watch Lightiningkit." Falconstar mewed
"Yes."
"Well if that is what Moonclan has asked of you then go ahead. While you are out there get Squirrelflow and Snowfall."
"Uh, shure."
Spinning around he raced out of the den and headed to the warriors den were he quickly woke Snowfall sense she was closest then carefully not to tread on any tails he padded over to Squirrelflow and woke her. Then they headed outside the den to talk.
"Falconstar needs you two" Jayflight mewed
"Why" Squirrelflow asked
"I have no idea"
After Jayflight answered the question he raced of and out of the camp right past Clearhop and in the direction of Appleclan so that he could get easiest passage through to Mouseclan. Zig zagging through the trees made him tired, but if he did not make it. He stopped at the border after heading down the mountain. Luckly he made it just for their rise patrol.
"What are you doing here Jayflight?" asked Mapleleaf
"I need to get to Mouseclan and the only way for that right now is through your territory." Jayflight responded
"Well come on then. We do not want to fight a medicine cat. Especially not now."
