The following monday, Ryan walked into school as if she were a zombie (her usual walk) that had been woken up for the first time in a million years. She was about to pull open the door herself, but another hand had beat her to it. She turned around to find a stalky blonde boy looking back down at her. "Luke." she mumbled. She soon realized that her hair had been dampened from the poring rain that bounced off of the pavement. She thought she looked like a mess.

"Hello, Ryan," he smirked at her kindly and motioned for her to walk through the door. "Can you move it? I'm soaking wet here waiting for you." A grin appeared on his face as she laughed.

"Sorry," she managed to get out through the laughter. Luke thought her laugh was cute, which made him blush slightly. He tried to look down to hide it, but Ryan noticed. She dubiously smirked and said "is it that cold outside?"

Luke snapped his head towards Ryan now following her into the school. He was confused. "What do you mean?"

"Why are your cheeks all red?" she bit her lip to try not to giggle.

"Oh um. Uhhh," Luke shook his head. He attempted to change the subject. "so what did your parents say about you coming home in the morning on Saturday?"

She scoffed and shook her head. "They thankfully weren't awake by the time I got home, so I just snuck into bed and acted like I'd been there the whole night."

Luke nodded. "You're really smart with these things," he laughed and then realized he had class. "Oh shit," he pulled out his schedule. Even though it was already March, he still couldn't remember his schedule. "I have bio in like 10 minutes and my locker is on the other side."

"You should go." Ryan said. Luke nodded and sighed, not knowing how to say farewell to her.

"Well,um, bye." he waved slightly and turned around.

"Bye." Ryan replied. She sighed and continued walking towards her locker. The usual glares from her prissy peers made her roll her eyes. It was the typical high school outcast movie scene; the crowd slightly separating in order to form a slight path to form for her to walk down. The whispers coming from the different people by the blue and tan lockers was quite obvious to Ryan.

Only this scene was a reality.

She wasn't really an outcast to begin with, either. She had a best friend. She had moderately good grades. Her uniform wasn't vandalized in some way. It was just the grade she was in basically; if you weren't in the in crowd, you were kicked into the outcast category, but she could care less.

"Ry!" Ryan heard a familiar voice call out from her tan locker.

"Lys." she replied once she was closer to Alyssa.

Her long-ginger hair fell from her shoulders as she leaned against Ryan's locker. Her freckles were scattered all over her pale skin and her green eyes were gleaming in the fluorescent lights hanging  above the students. Ryan always thought that Alyssa was way more attractive than her.

"My damn phone got taken away again." Alyssa mumbled and shook her head in anger. Ryan laughed at her and fumbled with her lock.

"So that explains why you didn't answer my important texts yesterday I'm assuming." Alyssa looked back at Ryan and tilted her head.

"Important?"

"Well, not, like, extremely important I guess. Just forget it," she laughed. "It's kinda pointless anyways." she pulled out her English binder and her physics textbook.

"But it's still somewhat important ,and I have time, so spill it." Ryan shut her locker and spun the lock in order to secure it shut.

"Fine," the duo started walking towards their first class and Ryan spilled everything that needed to be spilled.

"He sounds cute. Was he cute? Do you think he was into you? I think I've seen him before. Did you get his number?" Alyssa spammed Ryan with questions and comments just halfway through the story.

"Yes, couldn't tell, and no," she had realized that it completely slipped out of her mind to get his number. "God why wouldn't I ask?" she said.

"Well, first you have to show me this boy then get his number because from what I'm hearing I'm already shipping this."

"Lys!" she said loudly until they got into the classroom of their next class and quickly became semi-silent.

"We'll continue this after." Alyssa said as the bell pierced everyone's hearing. Ryan sighed and took her binder out of her bag and started to pretend write miscellaneous words in front of the teacher.

a.n sorry that this chapter sucked. I just don't know what to write lmao.
