Angela was at home getting ready for a board meeting when she heard her phone.  She saw Henry's name and thought it was odd since he wasn't picking her up for another hour.  "Henry?"

"Ang, there's been an accident.  Brock and Becky were hit. Someone ran a red light."

"Oh no!  How are they?"

"I'm not really sure yet.  His parents called me, they were notified right away."

"Ok, what do we need to do?"

"Chris and I are headed to the hospital.  Change into something comfortable, grab clothes for me.  I think we're going to be there for awhile. The town car will pick you up and take you to Chris's apartment.  The doorman will let you in, grab clothes for him as well.  Be quick as you can, I don't want them to be alone.  I love you."

Angela was thinking through what he had said when it hit her, "I love you too, but, Henry, you have to get there as quickly as possible and make sure that the doctors know Becky is pregnant."

"Ok. I will honey."

She hung up and focused on the task at hand.  She quickly changed into a sweatshirt dress, leggings and tennis shoes.  She grabbed her husband's things, walked out, and got into the waiting town car.  After scrambling through Chris's apartment as quickly as possible and sitting through the rest of the trip, trying not to go crazy with worry, she made it to the hospital.

Chris was waiting for her at the lobby, "thank god you're here, let's go."

She followed him to Henry, who was talking to the doctor.  She immediately went into his arms.  He nodded at the doctor, who then left. "Well?"

He led her to the waiting area with Chris. "Brock hit his head pretty badly, he's still unconscious, but the rest are just scrapes and bruises, maybe a cracked rib."

When he stopped she got worried, "Becky?"

"The vehicle hit her side. They think Brock grabbed her before the impact somehow. One leg is broken in two places, but her upper body has fewer injuries. She's pretty banged up, but they haven't found any other serious injuries. It could have been much worse."

"And the baby?"

"They weren't aware until we got here half an hour ago that she was pregnant. The doctor was just telling me that she is going to need surgery for her leg, but they have a neonatal specialist checking on the baby first."

"How long ago did this happen?"

"About an hour and a half ago."

"Her parents don't know about the baby. Try to keep it that way for now. How long do we have to wait before we get an update?"

"They are supposed to let us know after they check on the baby. How far along is she?"

"Five or six weeks probably."

"Ok, I probably should go tell them."

She nodded and sat there thinking. Brock was like a son to them, and, in the little time that she had talked with Becky, she felt the same about her. She couldn't imagine how Becky would feel when she wakes up. Suddenly, she realized that she needed to make sure that the baby's father was aware of the accident as well. When Henry came back, she asked, "does the rest of the family know?"

"Mike called and said that he talked to Brandon. The kids and Brandon's friend are on a flight that just left about half an hour ago. It's a private jet, so they'll be here in about four hours. Mike is driving, they couldn't get a faster flight. They should get here shortly before the kids."
