Becky was waddling around the house.  She was only a couple weeks from her due date and nesting had hit her hard. She had reorganized the nursery three times already and the rest of the house at least twice. Tom was nice and calm about it, of course. The man was a saint, but he was also the most infuriating person she had ever met in her entire life!

He had gone out to get pizza for her, another craving that he happily obliged.  She was waiting for him to come back.  He was driving her insane being so accommodating.  She knew she was batshit crazy...she couldn't figure out why he hadn't called her on it yet!

She heard the door open and slowly made her way to him in the kitchen...slowly being the key word there.  "Finally!"

"Yes dear, I'm finally back with your pizza."  He leaned over and gave her a quick kiss.

"What does that mean?"

"It means I got back as quickly as I could.  I don't want the love of my life to be stressed because she doesn't have any pizza."

"Why do you do that?"

"Do what?"  He asked slowly, knowing that he was treading on thin ice.

"The condescending, loving, I'll-do-whatever-you-ask bullshit!"

"Honey, I'm just trying to keep you comfortable and happy."

"Why?"

"Because I love you?"

"Why do you put up with me?"

"Because I love you," he repeated slowly.

"I'm not stupid.  I heard you the first time."

He kept his mouth firmly shut, only infuriating her more.

"I'm batshit crazy!  Why do you put up with it?"

"Because I want to marry you and spend the rest of my life with you."

"That's so incredibly stupid!  I'm a hormonal, pregnant mess!"

"That wasn't a yes or a no..."

"You didn't ask!"

"Will you marry me?"

"I'm not going to say yes to marriage just because you proposed in order to end some stupid fight, Tom!"

"Then how about because of this ring I've been carrying around for a month and a half?"  He yelled back while pulling something that looked a lot like a diamond ring out of his pocket.

"What?"  She whispered in response.

He got down on one knee in front of her and took one hand in his, "How about because I've been waiting for the perfect moment, but, since it's us, it seems only fitting that it comes as the result of a stupid fight?"

She looked at him, still in shock, "you still didn't a-"

He stood up, "damnit Becky!  Will you fucking marry me already?"

She blinked and shouted back, "of course I will you idiot!"

He pulled her as close as he could against him and kissed her passionately.  After they both needed breath, he pulled back, "I don't think this one's going to fit." He noticed her glare, "don't take it the wrong way, you're perfect damnit! But I got one of these silicone ones, too, for you to wear until after the baby is born.  It stretches."  He slipped a pink band on her ring finger and kissed her again.  "You are my batshit crazy, do you understand that?"

She nodded and a tear slipped out, "thank you for putting up with me.  I love you so much."

"I love you too. Don't you ever forget that, alright?"

She nodded, and he kissed her again. He couldn't be happier. True, the proposal wasn't exactly what he had envisioned, but it was definitely true to who they are and what made them a couple to begin with. They walked back into the kitchen to get some pizza, when he noticed a look cross her face.

"What?"

"Honey," she began, "I know that you got the pizza for me and my cravings and all, but I don't think I can eat it."

"What's wrong? Is it morning sickness?"

She smiled, but he was still confused. "I've been having light contractions for a few hours. I thought they were Braxton Hicks but..."

"But?"

She took his hand, "they're getting closer together and more consistent."

"What does that mean?" For some reason he could not process what she was saying.

"It means that we should probably head to the hospital."

"Really?"

She nodded and went to grab her phone, but, before she could, he spun her around and kissed her again.

"You just go to the truck. I'll get your bag and phone and anything else you might need."

She smiled, "Thanks honey."

"You bet."

Several hours later, he sat next to Becky, holding their daughter. "You did good Beck."

She smiled, "I think so too."

He got up and laid the baby in her arms, then kissed the top of her head. "Should I end their misery?"

They both knew that their parents and most of the rest of Becky's family were waiting for the news. He walked out to the waiting room, and everyone looked up at him expectantly.

His mom was the first one to break, "Well?"

"We have a healthy baby girl!  8 pounds, 2 ounces, 19 1/2 inches long.  No name yet."

They exploded around him with congratulations and finally he managed to tell them that it was the grandparents' turns first, then the rest later.

Nobody had had time to mention the engagement, so they had decided to have a little fun and see who would notice the ring first.

Both of their parents were standing around the bed admiring the little girl, when he heard her mom gasp.  "Honey, what's on your finger?"

The two looked at each other and grinned.  Tom finally spoke up, "well, before the baby decided to make an appearance, I finally managed to ask Becky a question."

His mom looked at him, "and?"

Becky grinned, "I said yes!"

The rest of the day and the ones after that were a bit of a blur.  Everybody was happy for them, and they were just happy to be with each other and their daughter.  When they were finally left alone the first evening, they managed to decide on a name.

Becky smiled, "poor girl, she's gonna have Blake threatening any boy that gets close to her."

Tom chuckled.  Brandon and Alli had their baby, Blake Michael Stone, a couple weeks ago.  "That'll save me from having to do it.  Isn't that right my little Holly Jane?"

Becky sighed, but he just hugged them both.
