Attention Seeker (Asahi x Reader)

Asahi always tried to get my attention for some reason. He tried to make slam dunk during P.E class but failed at it, he tried to clean the classroom as fast as he could, but turned himself into a dust bunny. He wanted to ask me something however  he ended up turning red and ran away.

In the spacious room of Iwatobi Junior High called the library,  I was just reading my favorite book about the little boy who great friends with the djinns. As my mind was in the world of Arabian Knights. I got interrupted by the red headed attention seeker, Asahi Shiina.

"Hi, (Y/N)!" he greeted me with a big smile on his face.

"Shh, this is the library." I whispered "What do you want, Asahi?"

He turned red... again " I wanted to ask you something ."

"What is it this time?" I waited for him to run away

"W-well..." He played with his fingers "W-would you l-like t-t-to..."

I was a bit eager for him to finish his sentence. Deep inside my heart I felt like he was asking me out but I didn't know my feelings for him just yet. 

"Watchmeswimintherelay?" Shiina said it so fast I couldn't understand.

I gave him a confused look "Pardon? You want me to what?"

"I said would you..." he mumbled at the last part.  

"Shiina, use your words." He was lucky that I was patient with him.

"(Y/N), would you like to watch me swim in the medley relay?!" He asked me so loud. The studious students shushed him. "Sorry!"

"The relay? Why me?" I questioned.

"Well, I need motivation" Asahi explained "S-so it would be great if you'd come".

I was still confused but his proposition. However since he was in the swim club, I decided to say yes. Asahi's eyes lit up with glee and gave me all the details about the relay while we were walking home.

"Fine then." I nodded " I guess I'll see you on Saturday".

"Great! See you Saturday!" He waved goodbye when continuing his path home.

" I'm home" I took off my shoes and walked into my living room.  My little sister (S/N) was watching Fairy Tail while eating some cookies and cream flavored pocky. 

"Welcome home, sis!" little sis greeted .

I decided to watch it with her because I'm a fan of fantasy stories. And Natsu... Natsu somehow reminded me of Asahi. Speaking of which...

"Hey, (S/N), do you want to go watch a medley relay with me this Saturday?" I asked.

(S/N) gave me a shocked look "Since when are you interested in swimming?"

"Nothing. It's just that Asahi Shiina asked me to come" I explained. (S/N) gave me a smugly look.

"Oh I see..." she poked my cheek in a playful way " I never knew my big sis had a crush on a boy who isn't fictional."

"Oh please" I shook my head "He just tries to get my attention, that is all."

My sister ticked at me " You're so clueless..." she said "Fine, I'll come".

I smiled at her acceptance but couldn't help wonder why she told I was clueless.

- As time goes by-

The day was here, the medley relay. (S/N) and I were looking for seats until I saw one of Asahi's friends, Kisumi Shigino. 

"(Y/N), here!" the peach haired boy waved at me. Little sis decided to sit next to him  because I had a theory she liked him.  As we were waiting, we finally saw Asahi with Makoto Tachibana, Ikuya Kirishima and Haruka Nanase.  Asahi saw me and waved at me.

I smiled and waved back.

"Take your mark..." the announcer announced.

A second later, the sound of the starting gun shot and the race started. So far the Iwatobi Team was in the lead. After Ikuya did his lap and Asahi's turn. I admitted his butterfly stroke was beautiful. Since he needed motivation, I cheered for him. "Go, Asahi! You better win this!"

" Look at you cheering for my future brother in law" (S/N) teased again.

" Oh, be quiet !"

The Iwatobi Team won.  At the entrance, we congratulated them on their win. While Makoto and Haruka were talking to their blond haired friend, and Kisumi and my sister with Ikuya. I decided to talk with Asahi.

"Congratulations, Asahi" I said "You were great out there".

"Naturally." Shiina said it with confidence. He noticed me roll my eyes at his cockiness. "Uuuh, (Y/N), I wanted to ask you another thing.

I sighed " Honestly, what else do you want from me?"

"To be my girlfriend?" he replied without hesitation.

Jokes on me. I was the one turning red. Asahi just smiled and waited for my answer. During that moment I realized how that I really liked him. 

I finally answered "Uhh, I'dlikethat". I mumbled.

"What's that?" he teased me" Use your words!"

"I said I'd like that!" I yelled.

Asahi smiled wildy and gave me the bear hug " Finally, Kisumi said I had no courage but I did."

I hugged back "Well, you aren't exactly the smooth talker."

He got offended "Heeeeeey!!"

The aftermath

"Hey, sis, I decided to go to Iwatobi Junior High next year". (S/N) explained

"It's for Kisumi, isn't it?" I questioned

"Uuuuuuhhh"
