Chapter Four: This Means War

This means war.

I snarled as my hair came out of my bun. I gripped on Mae's fur as her paws pounded on the mud, snapping sticks and leafs and kicking stones out of the way when it came on Mae's path.

Saying that we were pissed was an understatement.

Branches scratched my skin, only leaving a pinch of pain. As we arrived at a clearing, I jumped off Mae and she dived right in. I gripped on the two knifes that were in my waist band.

Dear, oh dear enemy. You have messed with the pack, this time. You are all going to regret this moment from trespassing on to my territory.

Everything, was just a mess. Wolves scrambled against the opposite side, blood was quickly covering the land below our feet and paws. There was no one to attack, everyone was a wolf.

I stepped forward, to a slowly dying wolf. An enemy. His fur was sticking together with blood by his chest. With his size, I knew immediately he was third in command. He was the size of Hunter, our third in command.

"You shall regret stepping foot on this land!" I snarled, bringing the knife down through his chest. It let out a cry in pain, almost deafening me, when about two wolves decided to make it's way over to me. "You shouldn't be here!" I snarled again, standing in a fighting position.

The two wolves- one brown, the other red, howled. I presumed that was laughter and they glared at me, a hint of amusement in their eyes. I could tell what they were saying, She's the female Alpha. Kill her.

I grinned as the brown wolf, who was just a plain warrior, ran towards me. I threw the knife towards her, as I did with the trees yesterday. The knife shined in the air and landed in-between her eyes. Ouch.

Her lifeless body thumped against the ground. "Come and get me, boy." This red wolf, I was guessing he was the brown wolf's mate. Shame. Shouldn't have crossed my land, stupid dogs.

The red wolf snarled, pain flashed in his eyes as he let his eyes flicker at his mate, then back to me again. Without a moment to lose, he jumped. He just dodged Mae's attack. He landed on me, tried to bite my head, but couldn't as I was shaking so much.

The knifes burned under my fingertips, I held the wolf at his neck. My hands were red. The sort of red when you put metal on a flame. The wolf howled in pain, my hands got hotter and hotter, until my hand just went through his neck as I stabbed the knife in my other hand in his chest.

"Die," I growled, trying to shove the body off of me. Damn, do wolves always weigh a ton?

Mae helped me push the body off, unlike the last, he just flopped on the floor.

"Thanks!" I said, Mae bowed her head in confirmation, before attacking another wolf that had Elise to the ground. Boy, don't mess with this girls mother otherwise you are screwed.

A growl and a snap of a wolfs snout made me whip round like electricity. It wasn't two wolves like last time, this small group had at least six wolves, making a circle around me. I growled, slowly turning around.

The one that I had my eyes on most was the biggest one there. It wasn't the alpha of the pack, no. He was the beta. Perfect. One down, two to go. I couldn't help but grin at the thought.

"Dad, I will need some help." I mind linked him. "Circle of wolves."

In a battle, I always kept mind linking to a minimum. And when I used it, it was crisp and sharp. Dad say we don't want distractions. He says kill when ever you see one alive.
