Chapter Thirteen: Lilly Johnson.
Rufus's POV
I watched Kade ruffle papers around his desk: cursing as he threw the papers aside and explored his desk draw. When he couldn't find whatever he wanted, he narrowed his eyes at me.
"What are you looking for?" I sat at my desk, clicking a pen and began writing letters.
Kade grunted. "I can't find that letter for..." He trailed off, getting lost by searching in the next draw. "For the change shifts for boarder line checks."
Without looking up from my paper, I said: "Behind you on the third bookcase, second draw at the bottom."
It was quiet until Kade laughed. This time I grunted.
"What?" Kade shook his head in response. We fell in silence again. "Today was interesting, nearly saw Lexi and some girl about to rip each other throats out."
"Uh-huh."
As I was shuffling papers around my desk, Mae screamed and I immediately ran out the room: Finding her on the phone, crying and kicking at anything her foot touches.
"Why?" She screamed again. "You were supposed to pick her up! When I left, she was there!" Heart pounding in my ears I heard a rough voice speak at the other end of the phone.
"She isn't there, when I came, she was gone and I couldn't find her trail because of the rain!" Was that Alpha Ryder? "I'm not a super hero!"
"Well, have you tried taking the footpath route? You know, using your feet?" Mae snapped, sniffing as she collapsed on the sofa. "Have you even bothered-" She stopped, eyes widening. "Oh God!"
"What?" I said, sitting on the sofa and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "What's wrong?" Mae took a deep, yet shakey breath.
"I know where she is," Mae whispered. "Look, Ryder, I'll be round in half an hour." She snapped the phone shut.
"What's wrong?" I glanced towards the door. Kade was leaning against the door, arms crossed wearing a stern face. "What is it?"
Mae screwed her face, holding in more tears. When she opened her eyes, they were filled with anger and hate. So much hate, Maes wolf was surfacing.
"Kyles got her."

Lexi's POV
It was dark.
It was dark, cold and the air was thick. Where I was, smelt like sweat and a bathroom that hasn't been cleaned in a while. Not nice.
"Dad?" I whispered, lifting my head up, but I couldn't. Pain exploded all over me. Aching muscles making it hard to even lift an inch of my body up from the rock hard floor. "Dad?" I shouted, groaning at my pounding headache.
When nobody answered, panic began to flood within me. I remember what happened. It was raining, and when I approached 'someone', I collapsed, hearing "Guess again, Child."
I grunted, only one person in this whole planet called me child. "Kyle!" I screamed, suddenly having the energy to bolt up right.
My headache grew, making me slap my hand to my head. I groaned.
"Can you stop yelling?" A voice snapped. "I have a headache!" I stopped myself from screaming for eternity. "And for the record, if you're a rogue, you're dead anyways with Alpha Kyle."
"You know Kyle?" I stammered. "And for the record, no. I am not a rogue. I am an Alpha, just like him." I snapped.
"Being trapped here for three years. You get used to the darkness and assume everyone that comes down here is a rogue."
