Chapter Fourteen: Death pays a visit.

The first thing I did was get my act together.

Sniffling up the tears as I slipped into the dry clothes: from what I can feel, its a tank top and denim shorts. It was nice to have dry clothes again.

"You okay?" Lilly whispered, then hissing curses and she headbutted her side of the wall.

"Yes," I replied thickly. The cut on my collarbone was stinging against the thick air. "I'm fine. But my family won't be if we don't get out of here."

Lilly agreed. "I can take you to your pack if you want. Isn't it far away?" I shrugged. "I can bring my pack, I'm sure Valentine wants to rip Kyles throat out once he finds out I'm still alive."

"Yeah, along with everybody else. He can join the club." I growled. Hands curling into fists. "But no. I can't risk your family getting hurt. I want you to go back to your pack, don't look back as soon as we take down those guards, okay?"

"Okay."

I pressed my self against the wall- which, gratefully, was made of brick. I shut my eyes, concentrating on my breathing, and listening to the guards conversations beyond the door.

"What time is it?" One asked.

"I don't know, check for yourself." Another growled.

Okay, the man from earlier who gave mine and Lilly's meals were there. So I definitely know that he would take a lot to kill. And the other one? I don't know.

"We have twenty minutes till Alpha Kyle goes to the Moonlight Pack." The second one said. Okay, that gives me twenty minutes until the whole of this pack goes to my territory.

And I suppose that these two guards will be left behind? I shrugged at the answer.

"Right, and then actually get what we came for. Rogue freedom!" The first laughed.

I was still as a statue, all I could hear were my uneven breaths and Lilly's hard and thick ones.

"You listening to this?" Lilly whispered almost silently, I nearly missed it.

"Yeah." I sat down, doing at what I do best at home: eavesdropping.

"What's Alpha Kyle going to do once he gets that land?" First asked.

The second one laughed loud, that you didn't need super hearing for it. "What do you think? He'll go to the Dripping Blood pack. Its the second strongest pack in the world. Once Alpha has got those lands, he'll have the biggest territory ever."

"That's my pack." Lilly whispered.

"Isn't that Alpha Axel a tough guy to beat? He won't give up any quicker than Moonlight pack. The only reason Alpha Ryder hasn't given up because of his daughter, who we've got." A laugh seeped through the door.

Lilly and I growled at the bad words towards our alphas.

"Uh, probably. But neither of them are the types to give up easily. If Ryder didn't have his daughter, he would have gave up ages ago. Axel? Not so much."

"Alpha Axel isn't bad, you know. Unless you get on his bad side then you better run." Lilly whispered, only I could hear. Despite the situation I was currently in, I chuckled.

Looks like he's going to get a shock as soon as Kyle steps foot on his territory.

The guards were suddenly silent, straining my ears, I could hear Kyle murmuring that these two guards were to stay here while everyone else goes to my territory.
