Chapter Eighteen: You have got to be kidding me!

These pancakes were good, I would have to admit. But these pancakes weren't as good as Hunters.

Lilly ordered two more servings as soon as we gobbled up our first.

Cutting a triangular piece of pancake, I shoved it in my mouth: making sure I got a good amount of honey on each bite.

"Told you," Lilly said as she gulped her drink. "I am always right!" She let a laugh out, causing a couple people to look over at us.

"I didn't say you were wrong," I said, uncapping my bottle of water before drowning half of it. "And you know, if I have a normal day today, I would be thankful. This last month has been hectic."

Lilly grinned. "I bet it has, and alright. What else do you want to do," I shrugged. "Okay, I'll tell you about myself. I'm Lilly Johnson, 20 years old and the Third Female for the Pack."

I smiled. I wonder what it's like to have your mate besides you not matter what you've been through? I wouldn't know until I find him.

"Well," I pursed my lips, "I'm Lexi Madison, 17 years old, and I love Pringles." I paused, before lowering my voice miserably. "I helped my Dad with the pack at 15."

I grunted as I could feel tears swelling my eyes.

Lilly placed her sticky hand down on mine. "It's okay." She whispered. "I'll go through the pain with you."

Her last sentence made me bubble up a laugh. "Thanks, but I'll survive."

After what seemed like five minutes but was actually thirty minutes, Lilly decided she'd take me on a 'special' tour.

Which included having three other body guards to follow us around.

Lilly let out a grunt as we left the small building, I promised I would come back later for more pancakes.

"Valentine said we 'must have guards.'" Lilly quoted the words with her fingers. "Personally, lots of people are going to be out on guard around the boarder because of Kyle."

I swore she dragged her finger along her neck when she mentioned his name.

"You were kidnapped when doing your boarder check," I shrugged then jumped over a huge log blocking my path. "So don't be annoyed that Valentine thinks he would get you again." There's no chance that happening.

Lilly let out an undetectable response. Then loudly: "Alpha Axel should be 'ere later. Tell him all the juicy gossip once Kyle has been on the road."

We met the guards back at the castle-like building, and Lilly began her scroll length speech about the place.

"Usually, when I'm in my wolf form, I like to swim under the bridge-" Lilly pointed towards the bridge that I had tripped over when Valentine and Bailey caught me. "Quite refreshing, actually."

She didn't give me a chance to utter a single word. "I know it's a bit battered, but I know Bailey and Valentine are going to fix this tiny problem out." Lilly glanced at me from the corner of her eye. "Since you injured your ankle."

We walked further down the path and around the boarder- since we were having a tour, might as well have a check, right? I didn't have to, but I followed anyway.

We came up to a bricked wall with an arch that towered over a metal gate, not silver- Hell no.

Following my eyes, Lilly said: "That's the Old English Garden. Peaceful when you want time of your own," She suddenly winked, "and great for dates."
