Chapter Ten: Calling.

"The guys have gone out," Mae spoke as soon as I walked through the door. "They have gone to a meeting, I think."

I collapsed on the arm chair, sighing deeply. "I am so tired," I dragged my eyes to the window, it was pitch black out.

"Go back to bed then," Mae suddenly let out a yawn. "But I am going to bed, I'll see you in the morning!" Before I had a chance to reply, she dashed out the room and thundered up the stairs.

Everything here was so quiet, unlike my house- however far that is away from this home. I grinned, jumping to my feet: dashing to the small black side table and held the white object in my hand. Ah, I love having a phone in my hands.

Dialing the familiar number, I held my breath as I heard the beeping noise fill my ears.

"Hello?" Snapped a voice.

"Hey," I whispered, "it's me," I cleared my throat.

"Lexi?" Elise whispered in disbelief. "Is that seriously you? Where's Mae? Are you okay? Where are you?" She shot question after question.

"Yes, asleep, good and not so sure. A couple of Alpha's helped Mae and I get away,"

"Oh Gosh, I am just glad you are alive, I couldn't mind link either of you!" Her voice rose. I could imagine that tears were spilling out of her eyes. She did that when she was relieved or happy.

Which would be both right now so I am 100% sure she is crying right now.

"Well, I know that you are crying right now, and everything, but where's Dad?" I bit my lip, praying that he hasn't gone crazy or have been in my room. But being the protective dad he is, he probably has been.

"He has just gone... um, somewhere?"

"Where?" Nails digging into the phone. I slowly sat myself on the sofa, "Has he gone to another pack?" If he has, wouldn't it be harder to find Mae and I if Kyle has still held us captive and found out what my Dad was doing? Or, planning to do?

Probably.

"I don't know, Alpha doesn't share business, remember?" I let out a snort. Of course...

"Just call him and get him to ring back on this phone, okay?" I paused slightly. "Just make sure he calls back." I want to go home.

"Okay," Elise whispered, and I bidded my goodbye before handing up.

1,000. 1,001. 1,002...

"What are you doing?" Mae asked, thumping down on the sofa next to me. "You have been mumbling words for the past... how long?"

"One thousand and five seconds..." I mumbled, sparing a glance at the phone. Come on... Ring damn it!

"I could hear you talking to mum when I was in bed," Mae mumbled, rubbing a hand down her face. "How is everyone?"

"Well..." I trailed off. I didn't ask how was the pack, did I? No. And they would probably be going nuts and when I get my hands on dad, I am going to throttle him if he has gone to another pack.

Yes, I'll go do that.

"Elise was crying, saying she couldn't contact either of us through mind link, no idea what your dad has done, but I have a feeling he's smashed the place up when he found out that you got kidnapped..." I shrugged, "Then I think dad's gone to another pack for help."

"What else?"

"I am going to throttle dad if he has, and for not being by the phone when I called," Mae snorted at my comment. "But nothing else, but..." I hesitated.
