(Oh Also, In this story, Esdeath is in her mid Thirties (32) at the current timeline, and in the bio she had just turned 17, the Emperors position is at the time of the bio, being held by the current Emperors parents before their Death, but the war is still going on. Once we get to the current timeline, Y/n will be 17, Esdeath will be 32, the current timeline Emperor will be 12)

The Empire's recent history is mainly one of decline. This is largely due to the quick ascension of the current Prime Minister Honest, who cared only for his own pleasure. His time had been marked by an increase in government corruption, an economic recession, eroding public order, rampant poverty and great dissatisfaction amongst the people. As a result of the Prime Minister's excesses, there have been numerous uprisings from both inside and outside the Empire that have had to be put down by force. In addition, there have been many defections from the Imperial military, including several generals, such as Najenda, and this has led to the birth of the Revolutionary Army, a group dedicated to the Empire's total overthrow with Night Raid. This is the present. It wasn't much different years ago, the Empire was still struggling to maintain itself under the sudden influx of pressure which led to the birth of the Revolutionary Army.
The Revolutionary army were winning, slowly but surely, the empire's forces were being pushed back. It was beginning to look good for the people of the Empire, they were soon to be freed from this tyrannical reign, right?
Not if the Nobles and the Prime Minister had anything to say about it. They paused any ongoing experiments that would aid them in their fight and dedicated all of their time and resources to create a Teigu that surpasses all. After four long hard years, the war had come to a standstill whilst the production was being finalised. All that was needed, was the soul of a Dragon, and a Host.
The Prime Minister sent one of his soon to be Great Generals: Esdeath, alone to find a host for the powerful manufactured Teigu. After five months, she had found herself in the barely discovered region of the East. Due to their isolation, they had never heard of Esdeath and her sociopathic tendencies.
Villages were single handedly razed to the ground and she slaughtered hundreds of Men, Women and Children she deemed unfit to withhold the power of the Dragon of Supremacy. She continued her rampage until eventually coming across a long bungalow in the middle of the countryside with no Danger Beasts around for many miles. She found a Mother and her newborn child there, who unknowingly welcomed her in and turned her back to Esdeath which ended up in her untimely demise. She observed the child and felt radiating potential from him. Not knowing his true name, she decided to name the boy Y/n and took him away from the East back to the Empire.
Over the course of the long journey, Esdeath grew more and more attached to the baby boy and decided to take him in as her own child, despite her young age.
