the words you told me hurt me so bad and made me feel small. i looked up to you, these other girls admire you as their coach. but yet you had the nerve to tell someone you wanted on your Varsity Cross Country team, that is oh so good, that they're not good enough for varsity track. just to let you know... i'm sticking with soccer now. what you said stuck in my head all day and actually made me cry, but did you know that, did you know that you made your student cry, an athlete cry. athletes are supposed to be so strong and i'm an athlete but once someone says something that breaks your heart that bad, just realizing that someone else sees that you're not good enough, that strength that i as an athlete had, faded fast into weakness.
but running, that's my strength
