a nightmare, a bad dream
is what other people may call it
but it's your fears eating you away
being underwater, no one
can hear you, and you have limited
air. it's like being trapped and trying to be
heard but no one can hear you. they can
feel your presence but they couldn't
hear your muffled screams at the bottom
of the pool
it's suffocating; not being heard
and so is the limited air, the pain you
feel when you're ignored and the agonizing fear
of
never
being
heard
leaving me off from my air supply and the power to speak my will.
and i wake up from this bad dream feeling scared and powerless, but little did i know that
i had been feeling this for a long time because

were
the
thing
