You stand outside, not caring that the ice cold rain is soaking you. He just broke up with you, threw you away as if you were just a a piece of paper. You sob, sinking down to your knees. You loved him and gave him everything. The rain stops drenching you and you stare at the man standing behind you with an umbrella.

"What do you think you're doing?"

He looks angry but his tone holds nothing but sadness.

"Leave me alone, you broke up with me. I don't have anything to do with you and your concern is no longer me. Just go."

He drops his umbrella, allowing it to move down the street. Without hesitation, he picks you up. You rest in his chest, shivering from the wetness of your clothes. He kisses your forehead.

"I only broke up with you because you're driving me insane. I can't stop thinking about you. I worry that one day, I'll hurt you because of this."

You manage to stutter out a few words.

"You won't hurt me. I know you."

He smiles, placing a peck on your lips.

"Let's go inside and I'll ask you out again."

You laugh, slightly crying. He worries too much over you and it flatters you a lot more than it should. It only shows he loves you more than himself and the same goes for you loving him.
