You stand over the stove, face being burnt with all the steam coming from the pot. Pasta was the first thing that came to your mind when your boyfriend said he was coming over and asked if you could make something for him. You force a smile when you taste the salty sauce. Deciding that it wouldn't matter, you leave to get ready.
The smell of burning made you sprint out of your room. The sauce bubbles over the pot and onto the floor, creating a mess that would take you ages to clean. You threw the burning pot into the sink, rushing to clean everything up. You catch your reflection in the microwave, mentally face palming yourself when you realise that half your make up is done. Your door opens and reveals your boyfriend. You fall into his arms, profusely apologising for the mess.
"Go, finish getting ready. I'll clean this up and take you out for dinner. Then we can come back and watch movies. Mostly cuddle but the movies too."
You smile, kissing your boyfriend on the cheek. He's always there to pick you up when things go wrong
