You chill on the deck, allowing your skin to slowly bake in the sun. Your boyfriend's little brother runs around, pushing over all the chairs. You get up to tell him off when the boat tips slowly to the side. Screaming, you fall into the churning water below.

Her scream reaches my ears first. My brother stands near the edge, yelling at Y/N. Tears threaten to spill as I see her head go under. I rip my shirt off, not hesitating to dive in. She desperately claws her way to me, panicking as her head goes under once more. I swim as fast as I can to her, yelling at my brother to throw down the life buoy. She reaches for my hand as her eyes slowly close. I grip her, pulling her up to the surface. She gasps for air, clinging to me like I'm her life support.

I pull myself up on the boat, watching as she collapses to her knees. I race to her side, wrapping her up in my arms.

"You idiot. You could've died!"

She cries in my arms, allowing me to carry her to the deck. She stops crying, pulling me in for a salty kiss.

"Thank you so much for saving me."

I don't let go until my brother interrupts us with exaggerated gagging.
