So I went to see Hamilton in the West End today and it was the most incredible thing ever. I've got a super long chapter ahead as a special treat and I'm not sure if they even read this anymore but I wanna dedicate this to @fluffy-asphodel
Remember to vote and comment because I don't even know if you guys like this. Imma still write it though. Enjoy! :)Alex's POV
Guilt twinged painfully in my stomach as I reached the door to the dorm block. I heard Johns car door slam behind me and winced.
My feet tapped the linoleum floor as I walked to Herc's room. I knocked weakly, coming face to face with an excited Aaron. He and I were on good terms and I leaned in to hug him. He placed his hands against my waist and pulled me inside, dragging me to the couch where he sat me down.
"Aaron?" I said softly. He hummed and raised his eyes to mine. "I need to tell you something."
He frowned slightly and held onto my hand.
"Firstly, my past isn't as easy and sugarcoated as I told you. Everything Seabury and Jefferson spread about me was true, but it was so much worse than they know."
I saw the boy next to me frown again and he pulled me close into his side.
"And John kissed me." I muttered. I felt Aaron stiffen and winced.
"What." He asked.
"John was really upset and I was trying to cheer him up and we kissed and I'm so sorry it was inexcusable and I really like you he just needed me and I didn't intend for it to—"
Aaron cut me off by placing his lips against mine.
"Hey, babe. It's okay. I mean, of course I'm not mad at you. You were doing it for him. Don't worry. Just as long as he never touches you again, it's okay." He pulled me against him and I exhaled slowly. I opened my mouth to apologise again but the door crashed open.
A Frenchman and a mountain came barrelling into the room. Both carried two large shopping bags full of bottles.
"Holy shit guys." Aaron laughed, reaching into one of the bags and pulling out a bottle of Russian vodka. I crinkled my brows and Laf caught me.
"It's my half birthday!" He giggled and I got the feeling some of the bottles were already empty.
"Six months after every birthday, Laf insists on having a drunk night of celebration just close friends. Care to join?" Aaron turned to me, popping the tab on a can of beer. I smiled at him and gratefully accepted the cold drink. The bitter warmth slithered down my throat.
The four of us sat down on the floor around the coffee table. Herc put on some Arctic Monkeys over his speaker as Aaron set up a line of shots.
"Whoever downs the most wins!" Laf giggled, wrapping an arm around my waist and nuzzling into my neck. "I dare you, Alex."
I grinned and grabbed the first shot glass. The vodka assaulted my throat as it torched its way to my stomach. Three more followed (to the beat of the music) as I finished the line. My friends were whooping, already lining up another set to go. My brain felt slightly fuzzy, but I had a long way to go yet. If I die of alcohol poisoning, who cares!
Two bottles of vodka and over twelve cans of beer later, we got onto a new drink.
"Devils Tongue, cinnamon liqueur. 39%. First dibs?" Aaron slurred. I raised my hand woozily and tumbled as I reached over for it. My head ended up hovering over Aaron's stomach and he grinned at me.
I grabbed the bottle and took a sip straight from it. It burned beyond any words. I let out a gasp and dropped the bottle onto Aaron's chest. I sprinted through to the kitchen, turning the tap on to drink straight from the jet.
