Chapter 7

Maggie's POV

"WAKE UP ARIA" I say to her while hitting her with a pillow

"No let me sleep"

"We have to go back to school shopping" I say

"We still have one more month" she says and goes back to sleep

"ARIA WAKE UP OR I SWEAR I WILL EAT YOUR FOOD" I say and she instantly jumps out of her bed

"Okay I'm up and please don't eat my food" she says while rubbing her eyes.

I go into my room, well Aria guest room and shower. I then change into jeans and a white sweatshirt.

Even though it's summer the closest weather we get to hot is warm, and then the rest of the days it's chilly.

I brush my hair and check to see if aria is ready.

"Oh also we are stopping by to the café first" I say

"Okay" she replies.

I head downstairs and put on my white vans slip ons. I feed tater tot and play with him for a while.

Finally aria comes downstairs ready

"How did you have time to do your make up?" I ask

"The same way you had time to play with tater tot"

"Touché" I reply.

We then start walking to the café

"So do you think jack might actually like me back?" I ask her

"I'm pretty sure he does, if he doesn't then he's a fucken clueless" she says

"I'm just worried that if I tell him how I feel he's not gunna feel the same way, and boom I ruined our friendship" I say

"Your not gunna ruin anything" aria says

"Hopefully" I say as we enter the café.

We order and wait for our coffee.

"Maggie I think we should head out, you know what I'm not hungry anymore we should go" she says while pulling my arm

"What no, we already ordered. In fact I'm tired let's look for a booth" I say and start looking for a booth to sit.

And there I see jack and that Sarah girl. I'll admit seeing them there made me kinda sad.

Were they on a date? Ugh of course they were on a date why else would they be alone together.

I see jack laughing at something she said, they both obviously haven't seen us yet.

"He called her back" I say

"Look Maggie they're probably just hanging out as friends" aria says turning me around to face her

"Oh yeah then why are they holding hands" I say and turn to see them holding hands

"Maggie I'm so sorry you had to see this" she says

"No it's okay...I'm fine" I lie and give my best fake smile

"Maggie I'm your bestfriend I know your lying" she says

"Oh will you look at that our order is ready" I say but aria being the person she is drags me over to jack and Sarah

Jacks POV

"Oh hey Maggie and aria" I says and they wave

"Coincidence seeing you here" aria says

"So what are you doing here and who's this" she says pointing to Sarah

"That is Sarah and I'm actually on a date with her" I say and see a look of hurt flash over Maggie's face but she quickly recovers it with a smile.

But I thought she didn't like me

"That's great" Maggie says and leaves and aria follows behind her.

Maggie's POV

"That's great" I lie and walk away

"If you wanna talk I'm always here" aria says

"I don't even care he can go and date anyone he wants to, he was never even mine to begin with" I lie.

We leave the café and instead of going for school supplies we spend the rest of the day at the beach

"Why is everything so messed up everything I feel?"

"It's not messed up. There's always a rough path but at the end, it's worth the fight" aria says.
