Chapter 85

Maggie's POV
I arrive at the apartment and see aria isn't home, I check my emails and notice I got the job at the library.

My shift starts later in the afternoon.

I head to the kitchen and make myself a sandwich.

I watch the vampire diaries to kill off time.

"OH MY GOD THE KITCHEN IS ON FIRE" I hear aria yell waking me up from my nap.

I bolt up from the couch and see aria start laughing

"What the fuck" I mumble while rubbing my eyes

"You wouldn't wake up any other way" she says while laughing.

I check the time and see it's 4:00 p.m.

Damn I really slept for 4 hours, I decide on starting to get ready since my first shift is at 5.

I shower and change into light ripped jeans and a white champion sweatshirt.

I brush my hair and teeth and put on my white old school vans.

I grab my phone and start walking to the library.

I get there in 10 minutes and walk in to see the old lady.

"I'm here for my first shift" I tell her

"Okay just sign over here and if you see a someone struggling to find a book help them but for now just organize these books on the shelf in alphabetical order my the last name" she says with a smile.

I sign in and get to work.

I start organizing some books when I hear yelling towards the end of the library.

I should probably tell them to keep it down since it is a library.

I walk over there and see a guy and girl arguing I also notice a stroller next to the guy.

"This is her" the guy says and pulls me next to him

"Your telling me she's your knew girlfriend?" The girl says almost laughing, what the fuck is going on.

"Yes is it so hard to believe that I've actually moved on?" He argues with her, fuck what do I do.

"Can you just get out brook" he says

"Astrid needs a mom" she says and leaves.

"I'm sorry I dragged you into this" he says

"It's okay" I say with a small smile

"I'm Dylan" he says and takes his hand out for me to shake

"Maggie" I say and shake his hand.

I hear a cry from the stroller and he takes the baby out from the stroller to hold her, she stops crying.

"Well I should get back to work" I say

"I was hoping we could get to know each other" he says, well the books I needed to organize did happen to be on the shelf behind us so why not.

"Okay why not" I say.

"Okay 20 questions?" He asks

"Okay" I reply.

After 19 questions I've asked him I've learned that he's also 19, plays lacrosse, is indeed single, and other things I can't really remember.

"Okay okay last question, who was the girl you were arguing with" I ask

"That would be Brooklyn my ex girlfriend" he says

"Oh" I reply

"Yeah she wants custody of our daughter Astrid that's why we were arguing" he adds.

"But the thing is that brook doesn't care for Astrid, she tried getting an abortion twice without me knowing. And when she was born she refused to give her the milk that she needed. He wanted her to starve to death" he says and his smile disappears.

"I took her from her because I knew that brook wasn't going to care for her" he says

"And she thinks that Astrid needs a mother figure and I panicked and said you were my new girlfriend" he says.

"Oh my gosh im sorry about what happened, I'm sure your a great dad and if there's anything you need or if you need help with anything just call me" I say since one of his questions was what was my phone number I gave it to him.

"Yeah I will" he says with a smile.

"So this is Astrid my daughter" he says showing me her.

"She so adorable, her dimples are the cutest"
I say in awe

"She's 5 months tomorrow" he says with a smile.

"You can hold her if you want" he says.

I hold her in my arms and a wide smile appears on her.

"Looks like she likes you" Dylan says smiling at me.

"Maggie can you help this customer find a Harry Potter book" mrs Casto the old lady asks me.

I hand Astrid back to Dylan.

"Looks like I have to get back to work now" I say

"It was nice meeting you" He says with a smile

"You too" I reply returning the smile.
