He talked. He finally talked. I honestly thought I'd never hear his voice again. It was only two days, but I was going crazy. Just the thought of him never talking or laughing, or even just smiling again makes my heart break. This boy has done something to me. I'm not the same anymore. I'm not the same person without him.

"How's Ashton doing?" My grandma asks as she sits down at the table across from me. I told her everything. I was sobbing on her shoulder by the time I finished.

"Better. He finally talked yesterday. He didn't say too much, but it was a start." I say to her.

"That's great. At least he's doing better."

"Yeah. I got him to eat and shower and all of that too. Then I got him to migrate from his room down to his music area. We literally just sat there and listened to music until I came home. And he always kept and arm around me. It was almost like he thought I was going to be taken from him or something."

"Why do you say that?"

"Well every time he heard someone come down the stairs he tensed up and held me closer and tighter to him. Something happened that night after we hung out, but I can't figure out what it is and no one will tell me."

"I'm sure he'll tell you eventually. Just give him time." I nod my head and excuse myself from the table. I walk up to my room and close the door to get ready for bed. Once I've changed into my pajamas I get comfortable on my bed and pull out my phone. As I'm scrolling through twitter a call comes through on my phone from Ashton.

"Hey Ash." I say into the phone.

"Hey. What are you doing right now?"

"Umm, I'm laying in bed. Why?"

"Did I wake you? Oh my gosh I'm so sorry if I did."

"Ashton calm down you didn't wake me up."

"Ok. Well, umm, I was calling to see if you would take a walk with me?"

"Right now? Ash it's late. My grandma isn't going to let me go out now."

"You're eighteen."

"Yeah I know, but she gets weird about things like that sometimes. She's like my mom."

"Sneak out."

"I don't know."

"Come on. She'll never know. You'll be back before morning. I promise."

"She'll hear me go through any of the doors."

"Climb out of your window."

"I'm on the second floor." Does he want me to die?

"I'll catch you."

"Ash-"

"I promise. I won't let anything happen to you. Please?" He interrupts.

"Fine." He's lucky I like him. I hang up the phone and get redressed. I'm not going to go walk around in my pajamas. Once I'm finished I turn on my T.V. to make it seem like I'm laying down and then I walk over to the window and open it.

"Come on. I'll catch you I promise." Ashton calls up to me in a hushed voice. I take a deep breath and slowly step out of my window and onto the minimal roofing below it. I turn around and close the window, but I leave it cracked open very slightly. I carefully walk to the edge of the roof and look down at Ashton. "You'll be fine I'm right here."

"I'm really only worried about you. I don't think you can catch me."

"Just jump already." I'm not too far from the ground now, but I'm still pretty high up. Him catching me is something you'd only see in movies. I take another deep breath and jump from the roof. I close my eyes praying Ashton catches me and he doesn't die. Suddenly I stop falling and I pray that I'm in Ashton's arms. "I told you I'd catch you." Ashton whispers in my ear. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and open my eyes to look at him. "Let's get to that walk now." Ashton says as he carefully places me on the ground. As we start to walk around the house he grabs my hand and laces our fingers together. I smile to myself and walk closer to him.
