"Goodnight Ashton."

"Goodnight Sammy."

I'm dreaming it again. It stopped for a night, but it's happening again. This is weird. It's never happened like this before. I can't go back to sleep. I'll see it again. I'll see everything unfold in front if me again. Instead I just lay here staring at the ceiling holding Sammy so close I'm afraid it hurts. Every time she moves I hold her tighter and then she subconsciously hits me and I loosen my grip to allow her to move but not too far. I'm paranoid I know, but I can't help it. I couldn't save Stacy, but I'll do what I can to save Sammy.

After hours of laying there it starts to get light out. Before I know it Sammy is stirring around and waking up. She opens her eyes and looks at me and smiles. I smile back at her and pull her close.

"How'd you sleep?" I ask her.

"Fine. How about you?"

"Fine." I lie. We lay there in silence for a few minutes and she plays with the bracelets I have on my wrist.

"Can you tell me now?" Sammy whispers. My breath catches in my throat and I freeze. I have to tell her. She'll keep beating herself up over this whole thing. She's worried I can tell, and I can't keep putting her through this. She looks up at me waiting for me to say something. I look away from her as tears start to fill my eyes. This is why I've never talked about it too much. I get too worked up. I'm such a girl sometimes. "Hey," she brings her hand up to my cheek and turns my head so I'm looking at her, "it's ok. I'm right here." I take a deep breath in and then speak. I tell her everything about the dream, everything about the dreams I had before, and about last night.

"It's crazy though because it hasn't happened like this before. I'm just afraid of this dream becoming a reality." I finish.

"Nothing's going to happen. You're going to be fine, I'm going to be fine, everything is going to be fine."

"You don't know that." I say. She sighs but stays quiet. After another few minutes of silence Sammy sits up and looks down at me.

"You should probably get going before my grandma comes up here." She says. I nod and get out of the bed. She walks behind me over to the window and I turn around and face her. "We'll be fine and if something were to happen we can get through it." She says, wrapping her arms around my waist and resting her head against my chest. I put my arms around her and rest my chin on her head.

"Thank you." I whisper to her. I then kiss the top of her head and let go of her to crawl out of the window. I get through and jump down to the ground and step back so I can look up at her once more before walking around to the front of the house and going back home. I reach my house and walk in the door closing it behind me.

"ASHTON!!" Lauren screams from the other room. Wait Lauren? She comes running from the hallway and crushes me in a hug.

"Lauren?" I question.

"You're home? Where were you? Sammy's?"

"Yes." I look at her confused. "Are you ok? Are you feeling sick? Where's the thermometer? MOM!"

"Ashton I'm fine." She says giggling.

"I'm just making sure. You never greet me like this or even talk to me half the time."

"I know. I was talking to Sammy the day when we went to the beach and she made me realize that I should start talking to you and being a better sister." I grab her and hug her laughing.

"Thank god for Sammy right?"

"Yeah." I laugh and so does she and then Harry comes around the corner.
