Chapter 23

Murr's POV
"Sal is on his way, he should be here by 12 ish" Joe said to us.
"Midnight?!" I confirmed.
"Yep!" Joe said. "We have to keep Katy here!" Joe said.
"Right. Maybe at midnight we could get everyone to kiss, kinda like New Years Eve, that way Sal can finally kiss her and tell her how he feels!!" I suggested.
"That's a brilliant idea!" Joe said. "Where is Katy?!" Joe asked me.
"I'm pretty sure I saw her talking to Q earlier" I said to Joe. He nodded then walked off to his wife and told her the plan.

Katy's POV
"I took your advice, to call Sal" I said to Q.
"And..?" He asked.
"He hung up on me!" I replied.
"On!" Q said, with a shocked expression. "Well I'm not letting that spoil my best friends last day here!" Q said with a smile. He grabbed my hand and walked me over to Murr.
"Hey!" Q said to Murr.
"Hey, how you liking the party?!" Murr asked me.
"It's great" I said. In the corner of my eye I could see Q staring at me with a smile. Murr clicked his fingers in front of Q to make him stop staring.
"What was that for?" Q asked, shaking his head.
"You were staring" Murr informed him.
"Oh" Q replied, looking quite confused.
"I'm guessing Sal's a no show?" I said to Murr.
"Remember, don't think about Sal. Tonight is your night!" Q said, lifting up my chin so my eyes would meet his.
"Anyway! We have some great games and music lined up!" Murr said to get me excited.
"And some great food in the kitchen" Q joked.
"That's the best part!" I replied back with a laugh. I dragged Q with me to the kitchen as he turned to Murr and laughed. Me and Q began to pick up some random foods and feed each other. We laughed so much and smiled, it was nice to have someone there for me.
"It's nice Q is being so nice to her" Bessy said to Joe.
"Well as longs as he remembers we are trying to get her and Sal together, not him and her" Joe said to Bessy with a concerned look.
"I'm sure he does!" Bessy re assured him.

11:59 pm!!
Sal finally got here. He ran up to Murr and Joe and immediately explained what happened.
"I was on my way here and then my car broke down, my phone died! It was all the worst things possible!" Sal said to Joe and Murr.
"Right I'll do the countdown and you sneak up and kiss Katy!" Murr said. He stood up on the chair and grabbed everyone's attention. Sal quickly hid at the back, near to me but I didn't see him.
"I'll countdown from three to one and then you have to kiss someone, just like New Years Eve!" Murr told everyone. Everyone smiled and giggled as the scurried around to find someone. Murr nodded at Sal who nodded back.
"Three.... Two... One!" Murr counted down.
I was stood opposite Q who placed his warm hands on my neck and stared deeply into my eyes. He leaned in and planted a soft kiss on my lips. We both turned to our right to feel someone's eyes watching us. And those eyes belonged to Sal...
