#26 Excuses and accuses

Caitlin's POV
Julian showed up yesterday. I tried to explain Crys, Frost's and my situation to him but he didn't trust Crys and Frost. Crys then teleported him onto the Star Labs rooftop. I hope he found the stairs down.

"Snowflake! You woke us up saying we don't want to be late but you're the one who isn't ready!", Frost yells from downstairs. I put my hair in a ponytail and put my necklace on. Frost and Wolfie are waiting at the door.

"You do know that we still have enough time to even walk to Jitters?", I ask them as I lock the door.
"Do you want to walk? I still can just teleport us there...", Crys asks but I shake my head. It's just a nice walk after all.

We bought coffee for us. The employee was still completely scared of Frost. When we arrived at Star Labs we were met with a surprise. Iris and Julien were there.
"Hey Snows'.", Cisco greets us. He decided to call us that or 'The ice queens', 'Elsas' or 'Frozen Sisters'. We hate it if he calls us by the last two.

"What is she doing here?", Frost asked Iris calm but with a little anger.
"I wanted to apologise. I'm sorry for what I did. I was mad at Barry for that he left and I took that anger out on you and Killer Fr—-" "Frost." "Sorry, Frost. And I kind of felt guilty for having feelings for someone else whilst Barry and I were about to marry."
"That I didn't expect. But thanks Iris.", I answer her.
<<Are you really forgiving her or is it an act?>>
<<I don't forgive her. She called you and me by that name. I had to cut myself because of her.>>
<<I actually don't really forgive her for those things but I give her a chance. If it goes badly wrong you protect me, right? We're sisters after all.>> Both nod.

"Feelings for someone else??", Barry asks confused and shocked.
<<That gives the story a nice twist.>>
"Shut up and watch, sis.", Crys whispers. We return our attention to the scene.
"You had feelings for someone else?! While we were about to marry?! Who?"
"Yes. It was...", Iris says but then stops.
"Who?"
"It was Eddie."
"Eddie like in Eddie Thawne?!", Cisco asks shocked. Iris nods slowly.
"He's alive? But how? He shot himself in order to kill Eobard!?"
"When Barry created Flashpoint it is possible that this caused Eddie to be alive again.", I theorise.

"Yes. I met him before we found out Savitar's identity. He said he would have glimpses of him shooting himself and all but never thought it was real."
"Did you just have feelings or was there more?", Barry asks a bit pissed.
"I...I was on a few dates with him and I...slept with him.", she slowly says.

I give both a slight hit against their arms. "Totally.", I whisper.

"You cheated on me!?", Barry shouts angry.
"Yes.", Iris slowly answers.
"You what, Iris?!", Joe shouts shocked. Cisco and Wally looked shocked too. Harry was busy with something so he just ignored them.
"You owe me five bucks, Crys.", Frost says and holds her hand towards Crys. She groans and passes her the money.
<<Did you seriously had a bet on that?! And you knew she cheated?!>>, I ask them and both nod in response. I let out a sigh and shake my head. Cisco looks at us confused while Barry and the West's continue to argue.

He mouthes a 'What's wrong?'. I walk towards him and stand beside him.
<<What was the bet exactly, Frost?>>
<<If Iris would tell him or just keep it as a secret until he finds out.>>
I turn to Cisco. "They had a bet if Iris would tell him or he would find out.", I whisper to him. He chuckles and I shoot him a glare. "Sorry."
I return my attention back to the scene.
"We should discuss this in private later, Barry.", Iris says and Barry agrees. Both take a deep breath. Iris turns to Crys.
"I'm sorry that I may have left a bad first impression, Crys. It was wrong of me."
<<I maybe would have liked you if you didn't had called Caitlin and Frost by that name, which by the way I don't like either, and wouldn't look like the detective from my Earth who let some of her anger out at me twice after she arrested me. To make it short: I hate you.>>
"I won't translate that, Crys.", I tell her.
"Drama between the Snow sisters.", Cisco comments. We shoot him an evil glare and he looks scared.
"Snow Sisters?", Iris asks confused.
Right. She doesn't know.
Crys and Frost pull out their ID's and hand them to Iris. She looks at them and then gives them back to us.
"Still, why Snow like Caitlin?", she asks as she gives them back.
"Crys, just get your normal clothes. Everyone else in this room knows."
Crys nods and teleports away. She then teleports behind Iris in her normal clothes. "Surprise."
Iris turns around. "Great! The most evil version of you is here too!"
"Do you think we choose to be evil?! To have powers that make you do bad things?! Using our powers comes with a price! And Snowflake paid it because of you! You pushed her to use them to save Barry and she used them to save you!", Frost yells angry. Crys and I were mad too.
"What do you mean with 'coming with a price' and that Caitlin paid it?", Cisco asks confused.
"You can be the kindest and most caring person on Earth but if you would have our powers you still would do bad things.", Crys explains with a little sadness in her words.
"What do you mean?",Cisco asks.
"The more you use our powers, the harder it is to fight the darkness that wants to consume you.", Frost makes a short pause."Why do you think Snowflake had white eyes when she was with Savitar?"
"Because of you taking control.", Julian answers.
"Wrong. I 'died' just as Snowflake did back then. I have blue eyes, smartass."
"It where her powers. White eyes mean that Caitlin and Frost both lost control. When they 'died' and Julian ripped her necklace off, they couldn't fight it anymore. It took them time to come back.", Barry explains calm.
"I can remember the things I and Frost did but not the things with Savitar. I do remember a few things from the time though. It was at Star Labs but I don't know why or how I got there. We were working on something. Then everything is black again until the fight with Savitar."
"I am also missing a lot of my memories. Over five years. But I can remember being at Zooms lair once with Harry and some other of you and we were trying to save Jesse and Barry. I then used my powers again and everything is black again. Well, until Caitlin showed up there."
"So when Frost said Caitlin paid the price, she meant you completely loosing control.", Cisco says.
"Yes."
"I'm sorry, Caitlin. I also pushed you to use your powers.", Cisco apologises.
I hug him. "No need for apologies. If I wouldn't have used them Barry would have been hurt and Iris dead."

"No, I won't, Crys."
"Aww, come on, Snowflake."
"What card?", Cisco asks.
"You've learned sign language?", Frost asks curios.
"I'm still learning but I can understand a bit. So what card? We're not playing cards."
"Crys and Frost are having fun. Just ignore them." <<Go and watch Netflix or stop saying those things.>>
"Hmpf.", Frost says and crosses her arms but doesn't leave. Crys crosses her arms too and looks at me a bit angry.
"Then how can we trust Crys? Caitlin and Kil— Frost can't use their powers just like that but Crys can just take her dampeners off. She's dangerous.", Julian says. Oh he just didn't! Nobody says something like that to my sister/ other me. Cisco and Barry look at him annoyed and a bit angry.
"Alright. If you want it that way...", Crys says and raises her hands. "How can you be trusted? I heard you also did some shit. And you are the reason I look like this.", she continues with a sinister smile.
"I did it because I was being controlled! I didn't want to do those things!", he shoots back.
"Just like Caitlin, Frost and me! You're lucky because you don't really know what you did! I know what I did. I killed many people but I can't remember it! I know every single name of them! Do you have any idea how it feels to wake up after being trapped in your own mind for years and suddenly being a wanted murderer and criminal?!",Crys yells back. I could spot a tear in her eye.
"But I'm not a murderer like you three!", he says pointing at Frost, Crys and me.
"First of all Snowflake or I didn't kill anybody. Yes, we did hurt people and yes, people in this room have killed. But not just Crys.", Frost explains calm.
"If you want to argue with me, then do it. But leave them out of it.", Crys snaps angry.
"Will you all already stop!?", we all turn to Barry. He looks really pissed. "Yes, Crys did kill. But she regrets it and even helped me and Cisco saving other people. She doesn't have to wear the bracelets but she is. Crys didn't kill anyone for over year. She has changed. And Frost is right. Both of them never killed anybody. Yes, they did hurt people but I did too."
Everyone was silent and just stared at Barry. Moments passed until Joe spoke up.
"Maybe we should all go home and sleep over it."
After a while everyone agrees and one by one leaves until it's just Crys, Frost, Barry and I. "Crys, Frost you can go already. I'll come after you.", I say and turn to Barry as they leave.
"Barry, this fight today showed me two things. The thing between us...It won't work out."
"Wait. Why?", Barry asks me shocked.
"Because you still have feelings for Iris and I'm okay with that. You both are after all, destined for each other. The newspaper said it. Iris West-Allen.", I say as I put on a smile. He looks a bit hurt.
"Caitlin I—", he wants to answer but I cut him off.
"Barry don't. Just go back to her. Make her happy. You both deserve to be happy after all.", I say and leave the cortex to go home. Crys and Frost are waiting at the elevator.
"Want some ice cream? I heard it helps and I still didn't figure out how to create it using my powers.", Crys suggests and I nod.
