Snowflake and Frost (Abandoned/On Hiatus)

#32 Velocity 10

Crys POV
Caitlin and Frost took V-10 yesterday. I am a bit worried about them. I stayed the night with them at Star Labs.
"Morning Crys. Anything new about the two of them?", Cisco asks as he enters the med-bay. I nod. Then Caitlin sneezes but in her sleep and snowflakes start to snow above her.
"I already knew that Caitlin had a cold but the snowflakes are new."
"Looks Funny. When do you think they will wake up?", he asks me. I start to think but my train of thought is interrupted by a yawn and a groan. I turn to Caitlin and Frost and walk next to Caitlin.
"Is it morning already? Did you make pancakes?", she asks me as she slowly opens her eyes and starts to blink.
"I want pancakes, too!", Frost calls as she turns on the other side and tries to fall asleep again.
"I would make you two some if we were at home and not at Star Labs. Both of you stand up. Now.", I order and both sit up and look around confused, taking in their surroundings.
"I still want pancakes.", Frost says and I face-palm, shaking my head. Cisco chuckles.
"We should test out if the serum worked first. But maybe not in the med bay...", Cisco suggests. We nod and walk into an empty room.

"Why did we never make use of this room? It's been empty since the beginning."
"Just try to form an icicle and we know if your powers work."
"How about we do something more fun than creating an icicle?", Caitlin suggests and Frost and I immediately understand and nod. Cisco is confused.
"Hope you don't mind the cold, Cisco.", I say as Caitlin activates her powers. Snowflakes start to fall from the ceiling on the ground. After a few seconds a rather thick layer of snow is created. Cisco looks around amazed.
"Could you always create this much snow? Inside a building? In June? Why did you e—", Cisco asks but is cut off by a snowball hitting the side of his head. Caitlin chuckles at her hit. Cisco turns back to us.

"That's why. I believe we could also make an ice rink."
Frost forms a snowball with her powers as Cisco was about to throw at Caitlin when she starts to stumble and then falls on the ground. We rush to her and Frost checks her pulse.
"She is unconscious.", Frost says and gives her a light hit on the shoulder. Caitlin doesn't react. She picks her up and brings her to the med-bay to hook her to all the machines.

"Is Caitlin alright? Why did she pass out?", Cisco asks Frost. She looks through the datas on her tablet.
"I don't know. All vitals are almost completely down but why? I'll give her a IV and all.", she states. Cisco and I nod. Frost gives Caitlin the IV and runs some tests on her. Cisco leaves into the cortex and I try to help Frost with Caitlin.

I leave into the cortex to see Cisco and Barry were already there. I couldn't help Frost with Caitlin. She is still unconscious. Cisco immediately looks up for answers. I shake my head. "Frost is still running some tests. Her vitals are almost back to normal but she is still unconscious."
"So Frost is awake?", Barry asks me.
<<You didn't tell him, did you?>>
<<No.>>
"Yes, Frost is awake. She is taking care of Caitlin right now. We shouldn't bother her right now."

Barry nods. I take a closer look at him and he gives me a 'What?'-look in response.
"Just say it already. It looks like you are going to burst.", I tell him. Cisco raises an eyebrow.
"How did you know? I mean that I have something to say?"
"You are easy to read. If you are embarrassed you scratch your neck. If you want to say something you quickly look around in the room. Cisco, Iris, Wally, Joe, Caitlin and Frost are easy to read too. Caitlin bites her lower lip and fakes a smile if she is bothered by something, Frost's eyes flash a more brighter blue if she is annoyed or pissed, Wally starts to tap his foot when he is excited, Joe always changes the leg he is standing on when he wants to speak, Iris takes a deep breath when she is about to argument about something and Cisco always stops to eat his sweets when he has an idea.", I explain and both look at me shocked.
"When did you notice all this?! I didn't know about all this and I know Caitlin for more than five years.", Cisco asks shocked.
"I did notice that Caitlin bites her lower lip but the fake smile and all the other things about the rest I never noticed. And I'm saying this while I grew up with Joe and Iris and you only know them for a few weeks."
I shrug."I think it's just easy for me to read people. I had to learn it to survive when I was young. If you can read when someone is about to get angry you can just avoid the person so you don't get beaten up. I also learned to observe people's reaction to certain things so I could always defend myself. Every person has a certain subject that bothers them.", I explain.
"What do you mean with certain subject? What would mine be? Or Caitlin's or Cisco's?", Barry asks not quite believing me.
"That is pretty easy. You have more than just one. For example your parents, Nora and Henry. Or the Reverse Flash, Zoom or Savitar. Cisco's is the death of his brother for example and Caitlin has so many that I don't know even all of them but Frost does.", I say and Barry's facial expression immediately changes."But whatever. Now what was it what you wanted to tell?", I ask and he returns to reality.
"Well, I want to announce something. Iris and I are back together.", he announces. You are dead. If Frost knows this you are dead. I won't help you."Great!", I answer with a fake smile.
"But. But but Snowbarry...When did you two break up?", Cisco asks Barry.
"After Iris apologised to Frost, Caitlin and me and she admitted that she cheated on Barry.", I answer before Barry could even open his mouth. Cisco slowly nods.

<<Why did they break up? I don't want to ask him.>>
<<They broke up because Caitlin said he should go back to Iris. They would be destined for each other and the stupid newspaper article from the future and all. Frost is so gonna be mad at him if she finds out.>>

"Will be fun to watch. And I'm sorry for her.", Cisco says. Then the door to the med-bay opens and a sleepy Caitlin walks trough followed by Frost.
"I'm tired.", Caitlin states.
"But it's not even lunchtime.", Barry answers and Frost shoots him a glare.
"I don't care! I will go home.", Caitlin replies.
"I'll take you.", I say and teleport into her room. She drops onto the bed and immediately falls asleep so I teleport back to Star Labs.

"Is this a side effect of the V-10?", Cisco asks us.
"It is connected to the V-10 but it's not a side effect. I still didn't figure out what has caused this.",Frost replies.
"Why did both of you actually take it? I mean you said it was to stop Caitlin from shivering from the constant cold.", Barry asks. Frost rolls her eyes.
"Snowflake and I are connected like Jax and Stein. This feature gets dampened by my choker and her necklace but not completely deactivated. I am too, feeling this coldness but I'm more used to it and so I'm not really bothered by it.", Frost explains and Barry slowly nods. When did he get more stupid?

Frost sits down at Caitlin's computer and starts to work. After a while Harry, Joe, Iris, Wally and Julian arrive one by one. Iris thankfully didn't make a move towards Barry. I think Frost wouldn't have liked that. We worked the whole day through with no metas or robberies. Boring. Julian said he would go back to Britain again. I bet because he still doesn't like and trust Frost and me and Caitlin didn't want to pick up where they left off.
Frost didn't figure out what is wrong with Caitlin so we decided to go home. Caitlin was still asleep when we came. Frost quickly checked if she was alright and we went to sleep.

—-The next day—-
When I woke up I quickly made pancakes for all of us. After a while Frost came downstairs and we waited for Caitlin to come. Normally she always comes exactly 5 minutes after Frost. After 10 minutes we go upstairs into her room. She was still asleep.

Frost and I shot each other a confused look. We tried to wake her up but she only groaned and fell asleep again. Frost and I decided to dress her and put her in the med-bay at Star since we couldn't just leave her. Cisco laughed when I came in with Caitlin on my back. Frost flicks a pencil at him and he immediately stops laughing and looks at her a bit hurt. After a second we all chuckle and I lay Caitlin down in the med-bay. Frost starts to run some tests on her again.

Barry's POV
I wake up from a warm feeling around my bare stomach. I slowly open my eyes and blink a few times.
Iris was sleeping with her head on my chest. Her arms were around me. I give her a kiss on her forehead to wake her up.
"Morning beautiful.", I whisper.
"Mornin babe.", she mumbles back. I smile. Somehow it doesn't feel completely right...
Iris gives me a kiss and stands up. I quickly shake off the feeling and get up to make breakfast. Pancakes, toast with eggs and bacon and our favorite coffees. We sit down at the table in the kitchen. I still have this feeling but ignore it.

—-Flashback—-
"You made breakfast!", Caitlin exclaims happily as she enters the kitchen. She was wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants of me.
"You..look...um...hot.", I stutter and she blushes.
"You too...", she answers and I realize why. I was standing in the kitchen. Shirtless. I blush.

We eat the breakfast and talk. I didn't really listen just watched her.
"Barry. You are staring again. Is something in my face?", Caitlin asks me.
"No no no! I was just...admiring the most beautiful thing in this room.", I choke out and we both blush.

—-Back to Iris—-
"Are you okay, Barry?", Iris asks snapping me out of my daydream.
"Umm...Yeah Im okay. Just thinking a bit.", I answer.
"Hopefully about me.", Iris answers flirtatiously and gives me a kiss. I hesitate but kiss back.
"Of course.", I lie. Why did I even think about Caitlin? We broke up and I love Iris.
"You have to go to work now, right?", she asks me and I look at my watch. I quickly made myself ready and was about to head out when I get a call.
