Someone noticed the broken girl
The corner being her only world
They saw the tears which stained her face
Memories she wanted to erase
They felt longing to comfort her
And this time, they didn't turn
Breathing in and breathing out
They understood her silent shouts
With tears streaming down their face
All they could do was embrace
The broken girl, sadness in all
Their tears dissolving her tall wall
It didn't matter the traps between
Each wall, for they weren't unforeseen
They knew all the consequences
Of breaking through her strong defenses
But to them, that didn't matter
For, they knew soon, her heart may shatter
With needle and thread, they began the task
Of sewing together the precious glass
That held her heart a foot away
From the edge, breaking day by day
That didn't work, so they began
Protecting it with their own hands
For, this lovely heart was precious to them
And they wouldn't let it fall again
