she sat in her room and she felt nothing
unless the feeling was overwhelming
overwhelming joy, overwhelming pain
other than that, there poured a constant rain
someone hugged her closely, she felt no love
heartbreaking things happened, she felt no grief
her mind was in a constant state of bluff
where any emotions were small and brief
"hold on," she told herself throughout the day
often adding, "it will soon go away"
maybe days or weeks, hopefully sooner
she wanted, again, to see her future
time and space made no visit to her home
every breath and thought didn't feel her own
her heart felt battered, hope and joy tattered
memories scattered, emotions shattered
she tried to tell herself it was okay
it was hard, as she didn't feel that way
fog was the only thing she really felt
as pleas for joy made her happiness melt
her emotions just went through the motions
she watched as her deep feelings were stolen
her empty hellos and broken goodbyes
were the only things hurting her disguise
everything in between was quite easy
but putting on her face, she felt queasy
and taking it off reminded her brain
she had been drowning in buckets of rain
all she was able to do now was wait
and hope she won't be pulled down by their weight
until the day love returns to her mind
and the day her heart stops being so blind
she watches as the clock's hands are passing
sitting in her room and feeling nothing

Poems
PoetryJust a bunch of poems I'm writing. They may not be any good but I like them. I'll try to update it every once in a while with one or more poems.
