she didn't know the second she saw him
he would soon be the one that she would love
most people say that that's how it happens
boasting about their true love at first sight
but that's just not how it actually works
what they are feeling is just attraction
it takes knowing who someone really is
split second glances don't tell their story
now, the way he looks at her tells something
how his eyes soften as they reach her face
and the way he brushes hair from her cheeks
hands intertwined as if they always were
those are the things that reveal their true love
rose-colored glasses never tell the truth
but, when he gave up his own world for her
what she knew is that they were meant to beNote: This one may sound a little weird because instead of the last syllables rhyming, the first ones rhyme. Also, because this book has over 100 parts, I'm continuing it in another book, just to make is easier. Thank y'all for reading my poetry!!
