Causing Pain

Carson's POV

Quickly after Morell told us about Lydia and I, all four of us rushed out of the vet and headed back to school.

Stiles went looking for Lydia, Scott and Carter went to find other answers, as for I, I went to an empty classroom to wait for the rest. Someone had pulled the fire alarm, which meant there would be no distractions. As I sat down by a table I got a text from Stiles.

Found her.

I sighed and placed my phone back in my pocket. I sat in silence as I waited for the others. While I waited for the others, the pain from earlier came back.

"Ahh" I groaned as it felt like someone dragged wolfsbane across my abdomen. I held my hand on my abdomen and press lightly for pressure to lessen the pain. It started to sting and I bit the inside of my cheek, keeping me from screaming.

"In here" I heard the familiar male voice say and then come into the classroom. I looked up to see not only Stiles and Lydia come into the classroom, but Derek's sister Cora too.

"Hey Carson" Lydia said with a smile before sitting down next to me. I smiled back in respons as Cora sat down at the end of the table. Stiles turned around to grab something before placing a flat bow in front of us girls.

"An ouija board?" Lydia asked, unfacinated. My pain slowly went away, which gave me access to breath properly.

"Also called a spirit board" Stiles stated as he opened the box and took out an ouija board. "And it's worth a shot" 

"A shot in the dark" Lydia sassed.

"Could you just try it please?" Stiles snapped."Okay, lets not forget who this is for. Scott's boss, the one who saved our collective asses on more than one occasion"

"Oh, so do we all do this?" Cora asked as she eyed the board. 

"Yeah...Yeah" Stiles said and looked at all of us. "You guys ready?" 

"Yeah, as long as no demon comes to haunt me, I'm good" I forced a smile, which was fake, and placed my hands along with the others on the wooden piece on the board.

"Yeah" Lydia clicked her tounge and licked her lips.

"Yes" Cora stated with a hint of hatred laced on her tone as she watched us. We all watched the board as nothing happened. Stiles decided to break our ten second silence with a question towards the board.

"Where is Doctor. Deaton?"

Lydia and I were concentrating on complete different thing until both of us saw Cora and Stiles look at us.

"What?" I asked as I glanced at Lydia in confusion.

"Aren't you guys gonna answer it?" Stiles asked and nodded towards the board. 

"I don't know the answer, do you Carson?" Lydia asked me.

"Um, no, nothing" I stated and shook my head.

"I thought we were asking some sort of spirit" Lydia said as Stiles looked at me and then back at Lydia.

"Well, do you two know any spirits?" Cora asked. Lydia and I looked at Cora as if she were stupid.

"Is she for real?" Lydia asked and pointed towards Cora. Cora sighed and let go of the wooden piece while she was glaring at us. Stiles sighed too while he took away the board and placed it somewhere else. 

Lydia kept playing with her nails as I just looked at Stiles in confusion. He pulled out of his pocket a pair of keys before dangling them in his hands.
