"I only came by to see you how you're doing," Ji-Min says as he helps me to make breakfast for everyone.
"I am doing fine, I want to know how the country is doing." I say, flipping the bacon. "There's no one on the streets, but soldiers roam the streets every night, it's a routine." He shakes his head, "I am afraid when I head back to the hospital, there will be soldiers inside that will be controlling us."
"Always call The Skulls, we come running." I wink at him, Ji-Min rolls his eyes at me and put the cooked waffles down on the plate.
"The handing down ceremony will be happening soon, where would it be happening?" Ji-Min then ask, "here." I sigh.
"That's bad," Ji-Min stares out the window. "Are you ready?" He turns to me, "no."
"Good morning!" Hee-Chul burst into the kitchen, "are you crazy?" I turn to him for a second.
"Who are you calling crazy, crazy woman?" Hee-Chul snaps at me. "Yah—" I put my hand up, "Oppa, he's like that." I assured Ji-Min.
Hee-Chul laughs and head into the dining room.
Ji-Min and I finish up cooking breakfast and join everyone at the dining table. I put my hand around my coffee cup and noticed that quite a few people are missing.
"Where's your friends?" I turn to Kyuhyun, "mostly sleeping." Kyuhyun shrugs, mouth full of waffle.
"Some of them are still washing up, Yesung is at the beach though." Lee Teuk informs me, "I got it." Bora stands up from her seat.
"It's okay, I am not eating breakfast." I stood up instead, Bora smiles and I left the building.
I walk the covered trial to the beach, "yah Yesung ssi." He sits near the water on a towel, "you shouldn't be here, it's not safe." I sit next to him.
Yesung turns to me, he has messy curly black hair, he looks like he just woke up. "I wanted to see the sun rise." Yesung says in a husky voice.
"It's really beautiful here." He murmurs, and he's right. I never ever want to leave this island, this is land is my home, it keeps me safe and I have been here since we ran away from home.
"Yesung ssi, to be very honest, I feel very comfortable with you." I stated, the wave comes up to our feet. "Are you crazy too? It's cold!" I curl my toes, Yesung laughs. "You will get used to it."
"I don't like the water, I can't swim." I revealed to him, "that's a shock." He comments, "my younger brother has scars on his hands because of me." I put my hands on my knees, "you need to learn how to swim." Yesung declares.
I chuckled lightly, "when we ran away, we were in United States Skulls headquarters. My parents own a small house for 7 people, so we spent a lot of our time in the headquarters. My brother decides that we should runaway, but not to United States but back to South Korea headquarters."
I fixed my eyes on the water, "unfortunately the day we ran away, we were on the boat. It's winter, it's cold and ice covers the sea. Ji-Woo who don't know how to operate a boat, hits a iceberg, I fell overboard." I laugh lightly.
"The current was quite strong, Jin-Young who's only 10 jumped off and followed the current. He breaks the ice with his bare hands and got into the icy water to get me." I sigh, "is it tiring?" Yesung ask, the sea breeze blowing his hair, it covers his eyes.
"What is tiring?" I raise my eyebrows, "being strong for everybody?"
"Huh?" I look at him, "come to me when you need a shoulder to lean on, don't wander around by yourself."
"What are you saying?" I snap at him, "aish." I dust the sand off my back when I got up.
"Lets go back to the headquarters." I slip into my flip flops, Yesung laughs and follow behind.
"I am serious!" He laughs as he makes a statement, "you're in big trouble for coming out here." I snap at him once more.
"Ah, Chae-Won." Yesung groans. We made it back to the headquarters, "yah, Chae-Won, they're finding for you." Lee Teuk looks at me with a worried expression.
"Why?" I press the elevator button, "there is an emergency meeting." Lee Teuk informs me, "alright." I nodded.
"Yah, if I get into trouble, you're at fault, Kim.. Jong... Woon." I shot a glare at him as I went into the elevator.
I arrived at the meeting, "yah, we're dead." Ji-Min turns to me.
I took a seat, "nice of you to join us, Ms. Baek." Lady Heather appears on the TV screen.
I stood up and bow to her, "what is the problem?" I look around the table where all of The Skulls are present.
"We all have missions on the day handing down ceremony!" Kathy yells, "it's okay if you guys are not there." I put my hand up, "of course it's okay, looking at your table... You don't have the whole crew." Lady Heather says.
"Everyone is out on missions and doing their duty in different countries." I say in a firm tone.
"I would love to have the crew all together one day, if there's no unity... There's no company." The screen went black.
"What a bitch." I roll my eyes and step out of the meeting room.
"Unnie, what are we going to do?" Diana follows behind, I step into the elevator, "I said it's okay, you guys already see me as the boss." I smiled and press the first floor.
I can't help but sigh, my friends won't be there. The elevator reaches the first floor and I walk into B2 where they're hanging out in the middle.
But they will be there.
I walk towards the couch, "want to do something with me?" I ask and plop down on the couch.
"What is it?" Ryeowook looks at me, "do you guys want to perform with me?" I ask.
"What?" Kang in stands up with me, "wait, wait, there is no cameras around-"
"Noona, we don't care!" Eunhyuk cuts me off because he is so excited. I laugh, "what does our leader think about this?" Hee-Chul looks at Lee Teuk, "who doesn't want to perform with the legendary Baek Chae-Won?"
"Gomawo," I stand up and bow to Lee Teuk.
"We have four days to practice." I then inform them, "rehearsals starts tomorrow, we can make the set list tonight."
"Does this mean you will make collaborate with us?" Si-Won looks at me with his hopes up.
"You should know I don't really have features on my album, they don't call me legendary for nothing." I wink at him, Si-Won frowns, "you had beyoncé and Eminem in your first album!"
"In the second album, she had a song that Miley Cyrus wrote." Hee-Chul adds on, "again, they don't call me legendary for nothing."
Hee-Chul glares at me, "you're being a little cocky shit right now."
"Okay, I will perform alone."
"Noona!" Kyuhyun grabs into my hand, "hyung, apologize!" Shindong fake cries.
"I want you to kneel down to me," I say to Hee-Chul. "Yah..." He smiles bitterly, "Baek Chae-Won, manse!" I instruct him to yell.
"We will yell together!" Yesung holds onto Eunhyuk's hand, "Baek Chae-Won, manse!" Yesung yells by himself.
"Aish..." Yesung gets angry at the boys, I laugh out loud at his expression. "Nobody agreed to..." Shin Dong mutters, Si-Won pats Yesung's head, comforting him.
This is going to be fun.
