The Will To Endure

Past:

I remember. I finally remember everything. I looked up at the ceiling with tears in my eyes. Did this mean I had to leave? What if they figured me out? Itachi came when he said he would, he told me he'd give me more time.
It's actually been a year. I glanced over to Kakashi, who slept peacefully in his bed. He bought me a bed and said that we could just live together, it'd be easier to manage Team 7 like that too.
I felt like something was going to happen though. I wanted to talk to Itachi, tell him all my worries. He hadn't come for a month though, would he come back?

Tsunade sat down quietly with her head in her hands, it was early morning and she awaited the answer that could change the village for a while. Especially the genin.
      "Tsunade-sama? It's confirmed, she's the one."
Tsunade looked up at the Anbu Black Ops in front of her, putting her hand out to see for herself. She looked at the file for a while, a small tear almost escaping before she hastily wiped it away.
She looked at the man with a stern face. "After her, form two teams with strong men. One will be the pursuer and the other will be in case she escapes, the trackers. Dismissed!"
She wiped another tear away as the man disappeared. They were closer than ever, after all. She healed her at the hospital and now they were best friends, but the village came first... right? She spotted something black fly away from her peripheral vision.
"Lady Tsunade? What's wrong?" Iruka asked her as he came in quietly. Tsunade shook her head and he knew, he bolted out the door and ran after her.

I looked at the sky with a smile. I had a bad feeling and I didn't know why. Strange, huh?
I walked to the training grounds and sat down against the tree that Itachi had a year ago. I missed him, I could admit that much. I remembered everything and I still couldn't make the decision: my village or Itachi? I wanted to go with Itachi, but I felt bad leaving the village for the second time.
I tensed, sensing someone behind the tree.
"Y/N, pack your bags, my love. You have to leave quickly. The Anbu Black Ops are on their way, they know who you are." I gasped as the crows began to make up his body.
"They know?" I choked out, I stood and ran towards Kakashi's house. I slammed the door open, accidentally waking him up.
I rummaged through my stuff, packing them into the bag I had brought quickly.
"Woah, what's happening?" I heard Kakashi ask me sleepily.
I walked to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek, he lightly blushed and I could see it since he didn't wear his mask to bed anymore. "Thank you for everything you have done, Kakashi. I appreciate it, so thanks." I left, running.
Itachi met me back at the training grounds and I grabbed his hand. "Now what?" I asked him, waiting for instructions.
"Meet me at our place, we'll leave to the Akatsuki base together." I saw Itachi disperse and the crows flew away. I nodded and began running. I opened my bag and quickly put on my rogue headband and Akatsuki robe, it felt good to be honest.

Present:

I ran through trees, shrubbery, anything that got in my way. I jumped and jumped, trying my best to get away from the Shinobi chasing me. I looked back, hearing some yelling.
"Y/N! Come back! Stop running! We won't hurt you, I promise! Naruto needs you! Sakura, Kakashi, even Sasuke!" I heard Iruka yell as we continued jumping.
"I'm sorry, Iruka, but this is the path I chose for myself! I cannot come back, you know that!"
"Is it because of the Akatsuki? Or is it because of him? Y/N, you can live without him! Trust me on this, you know how Kakashi feels for you! Hell, even Sasuke likes you!" Iruka replied as I sharply turned right, I still could hear his feet breaking branches.
"I love Itachi, you know that! I would never betray him for any other man." I stopped abruptly, the small note in my hand that I had just written was ready. I quickly teleported in back of Iruka and the Anbu following him, I hit a pressure point on each of them quicker than the eyes could blink and left the note in Iruka's hands.

          "Dear Everyone,

I'm so sorry that you found out this way, you were probably told by Iruka or Tsunade. Please bear no ill will against me, I didn't have my memories when I first met you but they began to come back. I didn't want to leave, trust me. I love you all, thank you for the wonderful memories and talks we all had together. I'm sorry for everything that's happening...
                                                  -Y/N

P.S. Now you all know what I meant about saying I was going to become an Uchiha. Sasuke, please don't hate your brother. He had a reason for what he did. I love you, Duckbutt. Make sure to not be so emo when we meet again, k? :)

I left just as quickly, I didn't want to waste any time that I had. Itachi was waiting for me in our usual spot, we had to return to the base and I wouldn't let anyone get in my way.
Someone had come up behind me unexpectedly, I missed one. "Gotcha." I heard someone say before hitting the solid ground. My Akatsuki robe flowing as I fell. I closed my eyes, becoming unconscious.
"Itachi, forgive me... I failed you..."
