Reuniting With The Past

Past:

"Hey, Kakashi? Where're we headed?" I asked as we walked awhile longer.
"The academy, we have nothing to accomplish so I thought I'd show you how we teach here at the academy." Kakashi replied as he kept reading, I peeped over his shoulder and my face completely reddened.
"Kakashi! What're you reading?! Aren't we going to go to the academy?! There are little kids and you're reading that?" I facepalmed at his nervous chuckle. He quickly put his book away as he knew I was right.
"That's besides the point. Today, we'll be helping Iruka manage his class. Good luck, I hope you survive." I sweat dropped and followed Kakashi inside.
"Class! Class! Settle down!" I heard a man yell from inside the room we stood outside of. I peeped through the door and noticed many kids inside with a young man who had a scar across his nose.
I looked at Kakashi, asking for permission and he nodded. I opened the door and we came in.
"Ah, you guys are here! I'm so grateful to you both." He looked at me like I was a ghost, he then reddened a bit and put out his hand. "U-Um, I'm Iruka and you are...?"
"Y/N." I smiled and shook his hand, he cleared his throat and looked away. The class started yelling at him, saying he had a crush on me.
I payed no attention until I saw that they were overwhelming him. "Settle down! Class is in session, are you here to become a ninja or a clown?! Make up your minds!" I yelled angrily at them, I looked at kids who were standing and talking to their friends. "Sit down, you dimwits! What the hell are you doing? When I say settle down, it means sit your asses down and shut the hell up!"
Everyone sat down in a hurry and shut up, I grunted in approval. "If you guys don't start settling down, then Iruka," I brought him forward and patted his back, he flinched." Will tell me who you are and I'll become your teacher for the rest of this year! So shut up! Now, I want to get to know you better so you, brown haired kid with the long blue scarf, what's your name?"
The kid stood up and gave me a thumbs up with a wink. "My name's Konohamaru and I'm gonna become Hokage after Brother Naruto!" He sat down with his friends and tried to look cool.
After a couple hours of giving tips and tricks to becoming a ninja, Kakashi and I left to go train with his squad. Kakashi chuckled at everything I did and told me I should become a teacher. Ha! He's funny.
"Like I'll ever do that! Being a teacher is too much work." I put my arms up to the sky and sighed. "I wouldn't mind if they became like you, though. You're cool, I'd like that."
Kakashi cleared his throat and chuckled at my words. "It's true!" I exclaimed with a pout. I suddenly felt pain and gasped, I reached for the wall near me.

Flashback:

"Hey, Itachi? Do you think I'd be a good teacher? I kinda wanna do it, but then I don't cause it's too much work. I wouldn't mind it if they turned out like you, though. You're cool, I'd like that."
Itachi lightly chuckled and stopped walking, he put a hand on my head and ruffled my hair. I looked at him, puzzled at why he laughed.
"I could say the same thing to you, Y/N." He continued walking and I walked by him, a small blush staining my cheeks with a small smile.

Flashback End:

"Are you okay, Y/N?" I heard Kakashi ask me as I stood up straight. I nodded at him and continued walking a little dizzily. I twisted my ankle and almost fell, but Kakashi caught me right on time. "Don't try to act tough, Y/N, I'll take you home." He got on one knee with me facing his back. I got on and he started walking to his house with me getting a piggyback ride.
"Kakashi," I whined. "I'm not a little kid!"
"You sure are acting like one, Y/N." He chuckled and I couldn't help but chuckle too.
Kakashi brought me to his house and sat me down on the couch with a slight worried expression.
"Kakashi, you're exaggerating! I'm perfectly fine." I tried to convince him as I tried to convince myself. "What was that? Why was I with Itachi? I sounded so young too..." I sighed at my thoughts.
"Y/N, you look stressed. Just take it easy, I'll take care of you." Kakashi left to the kitchen and left me on the couch, alone to drown in my thoughts.
"That's it!" I hit the couch with a loud gasp. Kakashi rushed over and asked me if I was okay, I nodded and he went back. "I lived in the same village as him and he lived here... my origin is the Hidden Leaf?!" I paused, a concerned look on my face.
"Then that means they have my records around here... maybe in the Anbu Black Ops?" I looked out the window, another conclusion rushing to my head.
"If Itachi was in the Anbu at such a young age and I was with him, that means I was part of the Anbu too! It'd explain why I was able to beat Kakashi at his own game..."
I glanced at Kakashi, who seemed to be making something to eat. "Wouldn't he of all people know, though? I mean, he was in the Anbu, he told me himself when we were hanging out a couple days ago..." I shook my head, I knew more about my past but that's all I wanted to know for now. What if I was a crazy killer? I don't wanna know that.
"Here, eat up so you can gain your strength." Kakashi told me as he sat down next to me, he looked like he wanted to say something.
I rested my plate on my lap and looked at him with a serious expression. "If you're gonna tell me something, just tell me."
Kakashi sighed and sat closer to me, he looked at me seriously and grabbed my hand. I looked at it and then him, it hit me right after.
     "Y/N... I like you."
