Chapter Thirteen

Time To Move Out

Present:

     "Guys, its time. Let's do our best! I promised Sakura-chan I would bring Sasuke back, so let's do this! We've already wasted a lot of time!" Naruto shouted as he began running ahead of us.
     I glanced at Shikamaru. "Naruto, Shikamaru already gave us orders. Follow what he says, follow the formation." I told him seriously as we got in position and waited for him. Naruto sadly ran back and got into position with a grimace.
"Yeah, yeah."
     Shikamaru gave us a speech about how Sasuke was our comrade and our friend, it pumped us all up and we left with the Will of Fire burning deep within our veins.
     Hours later, we still ran quickly, not wanting to let up even though we were tired.
     "We should take a break here, we're in the right direction and they're not far so let's rest." Shikamaru stated as we pulled to a stop, Naruto turned to look at him angrily.
     "We should keep going or they'll escape!" Naruto exclaimed as he pointed in the direction we were headed. I looked at him with a sad smile.
     "Naruto, even if we catch up to them, what good will it do when all of us will be tired? We have a better chance of getting Sasuke back if we rest. It is Orochimaru we're talking about." I explained as I sat down against the tree while everyone settled in.
     Once everyone fell asleep, I decided to just keep watch. I had gotten used to not sleeping that much, anyways.
     I watched a crow look at me, I widened my eyes as I noticed it had the sharingan. It flew away in a direction and I quietly, but quickly ran after it.
     Itachi stood in the middle of trees with Kisame at his side, a bag in his hand that looked familiar. Wait... that's my bag!
     "I-Itachi!" I choked out as I then looked at Kisame. "Kisame!"
     "Hey, kiddo!" Kisame gave a wide smile, his sharp teeth shining as he waved once. He nudged Itachi, who walked forward and wrapped me into his embrace.
     "Y/N, come with us." Itachi let go of me and held up my Akatsuki robe and rogue headband, I smiled and grabbed them out of his hands to put them on.
     "It's good to be back, damn." I smiled at them, but then it faded as I looked back at the direction I came from. I felt bad leaving them... again...
     "It's good to have you back, kiddo! Well, Itachi? What're we waitin' for? Let's kick it." Kisame turned around and looked back at me as Itachi caressed my cheek. Crows surrounded each of us and we disappeared into the night sky.
     "What about Sasuke? Will they be okay getting him back?" I asked Itachi, Sasuke was his brother after all.
     "They won't be able to bring him back, he's joined Orochimaru already. The curse mark just proves their alliance." Itachi answered as we arrived in front of the new Akatsuki base in a flurry. I frowned at that, Itachi looked at me and smiled. He poked my forehead with two fingers and walked ahead with Kisame.
     I put a hand over my forehead and smiled, I missed that.
     "Y/N-senpai!" Tobi shouted as he latched onto me, I crashed onto the ground with him atop me.
    Itachi stood by me in seconds, looking at Tobi with a look I couldn't read. Welp, rest in peace, Tobi!
     Tobi jumped off and nervously chuckled as he scratched back of his head with a grin I could already imagine.
     Itachi helped me up and embraced me tightly, I had the feeling he was looking straight at someone too.
     "Woah, this bitch is back! Sick, we missed you, Y/N. It was way too quiet around here without our bickering." Hidan moved forward as he put out a fist, Itachi let go of me and I hit his fist with my'n as I grinned.
     "I could say the same to you, Hidan! Have you gotten any stronger? Last time we were tied!"
     "Jashin looks over me, obviously I got stronger dumbass! What about you, bitch? Did you improve at least a lil' bit?"
     "Fuck yeah! I grew much more than your dick ever will!"
      Hidan was the only who with whom I shared a dirty mouth, usually I didn't swear. Well, except for the word 'damn'. He was too funny, though! I couldn't help it.
     "Ha! Very funny, Y/N! You wanna fight or what, punk?"
     "You bet I do, Hidan! Where's Kakuzu? Is he gonna be the ref or what?" I looked around for the guy but couldn't find him.
     "Nah, we'll have to wait till he gets back then. Dammit, I was lookin' forward to this! The guy's on a mission, he's looking for more bounties."
     I frowned and we bickered a little more until I decided to give the others greetings.
     "Yo, Dei-Dei! What up, my man?" I asked as I bumped fists with him too.
     "I thought I told you to stop calling me that, tsk. Glad you're back, though. The nickname isn't artistic, it isn't... explosive! Come up with a better one, hn."
     After talking to Deidara, I looked around for Sasori. Where'd Itachi go? Ah, he's prolly with Kisame or somethin'.
     I gave up on Sasori quickly and snooped around for Zetsu, who I couldn't find either.
     I walked back to the lounge area and spotted Itachi, I sat down next to him and he wrapped his arm around me. I put my legs up on his and hugged him, feeling tired since I haven't slept. Itachi's kiss on my forehead was the only thing I felt before I escaped into the darkness calling me home.
