Rock Lee's POV:

We were finally winning, it seemed at last the fighting could come to an end. Then a blinding light filled the sky, I tried to move but my body wouldn't cooperate with me. It felt as if this light occupied all of my senses and slowly but surely I couldn't even think straight. I felt exhausted and then suddenly I wasn't. I felt as though I had fallen asleep but everything around me was really, at least it felt real.

I found myself fighting my rivals Neji and Naruto. Neji wasn't dead at all, the war, his death, it was all a nightmare. I defeated my rivals and Sakura ran up to me proclaiming her love for me.

I pushed her aside and went to my true love Sayuri. She bestowed the sweetest kisses on me and her smile was like a warm sunny day. She told me she was proud of me, that I was her hero. I wanted nothing more than to freeze time in this moment with her sitting on the ground, my head in her lap whispering sweet things to each other.

Sayuri's POV:

There was no resisting that light, there was no hiding from it. I tried desperately to break free but to no avail. I soon succombed to the effects of it and fell into what felt like a deep sleep.

Yet just as soon as I fell asleep I woke up, there was no war, it was all a bad dream. I was at home in bed, I ran to the kitchen and there sat my father, my mother was preparing breakfast. They weren't dead at all, they were alive. Brother wasn't there as he had already gone out for the day on a mission, nothing dangerous and he would be back by supper.

Shortly after breakfast I headed out. I met Lee at our favorite spot, the peach tree. We spent the day training in the scent of those sweet blossoms while Hitsugi napped. At the end of the day he walked me home and stayed for supper. Everyone was happy, we were all together as a family and nothing in the world could ever come between us.
