Rock Lee's POV:

After my victory in the fight with Naruto and Neji, Sayuri and I went to our special spot and spent the time in each other's arms. Then suddenly she was snatched away from me and the world around me began to spin. I closed my eyes tight and when I opened them I was in the middle of a battlefield. That's right, the Ninja war! I was surrounded in a cacoon like substance that I easily broke out of.

Looking around, I saw others in the same situation as me, had we all been sleeping? Then immediately I realized, Sayuri! Was she okay, was she still in that dream world, was she even alive?  I was about to run off and go find her when I saw a familiar figure at my feet. Guy sensei, that's right he activated the last gate. He was badly burnt and he wasn't conscious. As much as I wanted to go find Sayuri, I knew she would never forgive me if something happened to our sensei.

Sensei, the word made me think of my teammates, Tenten stood up nearby completely unscathed. I looked around for Neji, only to have the crushing realization that he was dead and no dream could ever bring him back. Bitter tears flowed from my eyes, the war was over, but we played too great of a price.

That was when Tenten walked over to us, shedding her own tears.

Tenten: "I'll take care of Sensei, go find her. She needs you too."

I hesitated, then ran off to find her. That was when the tailed beasts disappeared and the fighting began again, this time between Naruto and Sasuke.  I avoided the carnage as I struggled to find Sayuri. That was when I heard a low whine that was definitely Hitsugi. I ran towards the sound and I wasn't prepared for what I saw. He was laying across her whimpering and whining. I ran to her side and he lifted his head at seeing me and got off of her to show me. She wasn't breathing, I touched her skin and she was ice cold. I panicked. I could hardly remember how to do CPR but I had to try. I tried to calm myself, I had the urge to break down sobbing but if I did I could lose all chance of saving my sweet blossom.

I continued giving her CPR and cursing myself for not knowing any ninjutsu to heal her with. Then softly I felt her breath on my lips, I laid my head against her chest and faintly I heard her heartbeat. I pulled her close to me and cried my heart out from sadness and happiness. Her breathing improved slowly and her heartbeat began to grow stronger. I knew she would be alright
