Sayuri's POV:
Lee seemed genuinely shocked at their appearance, this wasn't a surprise as they had hidden traces of themselves well. Kakashi spoke up "How did you know we were there? Our chakra was suppressed, we hid our scent and were quiet." I looked at them as I called my companion Hitsugi over. I felt the need to rest and I could sit on him comfortably. Doing so I answered, "I didn't sense your chakra, I didn't smell you, but you're wrong. I could hear you..." Guy interrupted "We were completely silent, how could..." Interrupting in turn I stated, "it's quite difficult to mute a heart beat. I could hear that plainly." Jaws dropped all around me, but I was used to this reaction. That was when Lady Hokage arrived. I stood and bowed to her in order to show respect.
She approached me and said she would like to talk to me in private. I agreed to it. She then stated that afterwards I could be released from the hospital. This was good news and Lee got excited over it. He wanted me to meet his friends and see Konoha with them. I agreed, so long as I could ride Hitsugi as I was sure I needed to take it easy. Lady Tsunade agreed. No one mentioned my sparr with Lee earlier though. Lee set off to tell his friends and Lady Tsunade asked Guy and Kakashi to join the private discussion. We headed back to my room, the others walking while I rode Hitsugi.
He sniffed Kakashi. "He smells like other dogs Sayuri." I nodded to him. "Yes he uses ninja hounds too Hitsugi." Kakashi turned and smiled at us. I apologized for Hitsugi's comment, I explained that he liked to analyze people by smell. He replied "That's quite alright." I looked at the three ahead of me. 'They're all so powerful, yet they seem kind. It's confusing.'
We soon reached my room and I looked at the trio. Lady Tsunade wasted no time getting to the discussion. "Would you like to be tested to become a village anbu?" I saw genuine shock on both sensei's faces, they argued the matter with her. Meanwhile in my mind I went over my long bloody years in the anbu black ops. 'I have only a name. I have no identity. I am no one, I will never be anyone. Dying in battle is the only glorious death, but living through battle is better for your cause.' Those words were pounded into my mind at a young age, over and over they were told. Each word accompanied by a painful blow. Then after the mantra came a curse mark which removed from me all happy childhood memories but added no power to me. In fact it drained my chakra to control me if needed. If I ever tried to think of happy memories, the mantra would play out and bloody memories took over. The only feeling I knew was pain, that overcame me in sleep often. All of this flashed through my mind briefly, I then gave my answer "I will serve the hidden leaf ma'am. When is my inspection?" The hokage was pleased, the other two not so much. She replied, "One week from now in the arena." I nodded.
Sayuri: "I will join on one condition."
Tsunade: "What would that be?"
Sayuri: "I would like to be a doctor in the hospital when I'm not on missions. I have been trained and have my own techniques in healing and surgery."
The hokage smiled as though she hoped I would ask and agreed to let me.I was then released from the hospital. Sakura and her girl friends were out front. The girls came forward all at once and said they wanted me to borrow their clothes and help me get ready so I could look my best. I was introduced to the girls by Sakura. They all seemed nice, especially Hinata. I walked close to her as we traveled to her home. Her clothes were the only one's that would fit me anyways due to my figure. I trained hard to get this figure that was apparently desirable. Being physically attractive made being a spy easier as my anbu superiors said. However no one ever saw my face anyways so what did it matter ? I never seduced men or anything, it was taught to me but I didn't have to use it. I believe they were just working towards my father's wishes for me.
I donned a purple hoodie, blue shorts black leggings, a shirt and dark blue ninja shoes. I still had my ninja headband tied over Hitsugi's, I untied it and put it on my left arm. I left on my head wrap the whole time and put my mask in my hoodie in case I needed it.
We were ready and headed off, all the girls commented on how nice I looked but I didn't know if it was true. Beauty didn't matter.
