Chapter 50: Sweet Love

Lee's POV:

I couldn't stand the loneliness any longer, I couldn't sleep knowing that she was so miserable. I had to see that sweet smile. I got up and crept to her room, I gently cracked open the door, careful not to wake Kakashi. She was standing there with her hand on the doorknob about to open the door herself.  She pulled me into the room and wrapped her arms around me. Her voice was muffled into my chest as she spoke. 

"You stayed? I was going to sneak out to go see you. I woke up and couldn't bear to be alone." 

I  smiled as I held her close, stroking her hair as I did so. I gently kissed the top of her head and responded. " I would never leave you Sayuri, especially when you need me. I'll stay by your side all night so you can sleep." 

I felt her relax in my arms and she looked up at me and suddenly I felt her lips on mine . I pulled her close to deepen our kiss. When our lips parted I saw a smile cross her blushing face and in that moment  I vowed to spend my life keeping that smile on her face. 

"You should be getting to bed, your'e still not fully healed. I'll sit by the bed and hold your hand all night so you can rest."

"No"

"No? What's wrong Sayuri?"

"Nothing, but you should sleep in a bed as well. My bed has plenty of room so you can sleep with me." 

Both of our faces instantly turned red at what she said.

"So umm let's go to bed Lee."

"Right, bed. Good idea."

She lay down on the bed near the wall and I lay next to her. My face was burning with blush and so was hers. There was a small scratch at the door from the living room as Hitsugi brushed past it to go outside, then there was silence except for the sound of our breathing. She lay her head on my chest and I could feel my heart racing. She whispered softly and sweetly.

"Your'e really worked up Lee. Your heart is pounding."

"It's because of you, i'm crazy about you."

She blushed up at me and said "I'm crazy about you too." 

I couldn't help but pull her in for a long kiss.

Sayuri's POV: 

Lee pulled me in for a long kiss and I held onto him desperately. My entire body flooded with warmth and my own heart began to pound so loudly I feared he could hear it. As our lips parted we desperately caught our breath before diving back into another kiss. I could hardly control my thoughts, and my desires and I knew by looking into his eyes he felt the same as I did. 

"Lee, we have to stop or we will pass the point of no return." 

He nodded in agreement and instead of disappointment in his eyes, I saw more love in them than I had ever thought possible. 

He bent down and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead and spoke, his lips brushing over my skin as he spoke. "Sayuri, I love you with all of my heart." 

"I love you with all of my heart and soul Lee. "

We fell asleep in each other's arms and I felt complete having him by my side.
