"General," the soldier said.

He turned. "What is it? And what's taking so long? In order to carry out this operation, we must act fast!"

"We are aware of this, General Blyden," the soldier said quickly, attempting to calm him. "But the son of Hades has resisted us. He will not join us, and is too powerful to take by force."

General Blyden scowled. "What are we to do, then? You know I am under orders. We either do this now or go back empty-handed." He turned and looked down the hill. From his perspective, he could see the entire Greek camp. Unsuspecting demigods, believing they were at peace.

That peace was about to shatter.

"Fine then," General Blyden said. "If you can't bring me the child of our worst enemy, bring me the child of our second worst enemy." He brushed back a strand of his long auburn hair, his quicksilver eyes cold and hard.

"Bring me the head counselor of the Apollo Cabin. Alive."
