one month (a sad nalu story)

Day 28: thinking about life

Lucy's POV

It's a normal day just sitting in the hospital room..... By a normal day I mean I have people coming in and out of my room doing who knows what. I noticed that my doctor came in the room and I knew this was my chance to ask her.

"Excuse me, I was wondering if maybe I can spend the rest of my time in this world not in a hospital room... I promise that I'll come back if it gets too bad, I just want to see everything beautiful one last time." I pleaded

"Oh Lucy I don't know what if something happens right when you leave." Dr. Marvell exclaimed, I looked at her and I noticed her wall slowly breaking down."ahh fine..... Only if you come back if things get to hard OK sweety." I smiled and nodded.

I was told to get changed and pack my things because they were letting me go home. Once I got home the first thing I did was call Natsu to come and pick me up.

Time skip

I hear a car pulling up and look outside and see the love of my life walking up to the front door. I walked slowly to the door and opened it and see Natsu with a beaming smile and I returned that smile.

"Hey Lucy where would you like to go today?" Natsu questioned, I looked at him then the sky and I knew I came up with a destination. "Natsu I want to see the sunset over the ocean, see the stars in the night sky. In the darkest place you can think of." I smiled looking at him, he looked back at me with a unsure expression on his face, he soon brightened and smiled dragging me to the car.

I opened the door to his car and slid into the seat and connected my phone to the Bluetooth, and played our favorite song and we jammed out. As time passed and songs played, a certain song came on that stopped Natsu in his singing tracks, he suddenly got quite and composed as the song was playing. He rolled down the windows and turned the music up, he then proceed to unbuckle.

"Natsu what are you doing?" I yelled over the song, he only looked at me and climbed out the window. " LET IT GOOOOO, LET IT GOOOO, CAN'T HOLD IT BACK ANYMOREEE LET IT GOOOO, LET IT GOOO, TURN AWAY AND SLAM THE DOOR," I watched as Natsu was sitting on his window, at a red light singing let it go, " I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO SAYYY LET THE STORM RAGE ONNNNNNNNN." he hopped back in the car in time for the light to turn green and say " the cold never bothered me anyway".

" Hey Lucy how did I sound... great right" Natsu laughed. I just stared at him dumbstruck over his stupidity and just started laughing. " Oh my god Natsu you were terrible." I managed to say threw the laughter.

Before I noticed Natsu stopped driving and got out of the car and opened my door. I looked around and all I saw was trees, grass, the sky, and a small path. "Natsu where are we??" I said

He said nothing but grabbed my hand and lead me down the small path, at the end of the path I saw a clearing and once I stepped out I was blown away. On one side you see the light of the city and on the other the beauty of the open ocean, and the clearing was filled with beautiful flowers. " Did I make your wish come true, oh come on we gotta watch the sunset." he held my hand as he lead me to a picnic table and we watched the sun set into the ocean.

"That was beautiful Natsu." I said looking up at the sky. " Yeah you are" Natsu whispered looking over at me, I looked down and looked at Natsu not knowing how close our faces would be. When I turned I was only a few inches away from Natsu's face, but both of us slowly leaned forward until we could both feel each others breathe. Natsu took the final step and leaned forward kissing me on the lips, I was shocked at first but slowly melted into the kiss. After a few minutes we separated from the kiss both of us needing air, we looked at each other and looked away.

"Wow look at the time I guess we should start heading back right, Natsu." I yelled nervously, he just slowly nodded his head in agreement and we walked back to the car in silence. The whole ride back to my house was silent, but it gave me time to think about thing, how I wont be able to see, Natsu, my family, or friends for much longer, or how I will miss out on so much like having kids and my friends having kids.

We stopped and I exited the car and thanked Natsu for the trip and the ride home, he only nodded his head and drove off. I entered my house and went start to my bed, fully clothed, and just went to bed waiting for another day to come.
