almost time pt 2

Lucy pov
We were finally done getting ready and are currently waiting for Natsu to come and pick me up same with Levy who looks beautiful by the way.

I looked at my phone deciding to play a game while I wait in my dress and I received a text from Natsu.

N- hey what was the address again.

L-78 magnolia lane.

N- ok I'll be there in about five minutes.

L- ok see you soon.

I got up straightened out my dress, looked in the mirror and smiled. I heard a car pulling up and looked at levy and nodded, I started to walk towards the door unknowingly holding my breath.

*knock*
I opened the door and saw Natsu standing there in all his glory. "His Luce you look absolutely beautiful." Natsu said with a faint blush.

"Thank you, you also look very handsome," I looked at Levy and smiled then turned back to Natsu," now shall we go." I asked. " yes we shall my lady." Natsu spoke in a weird tone.

*time skip to dance*
I was looking around at all the girls in their dresses and the boys their tuxedos. Natsu let go of my arm and walked up to master." Hi Natsu and hello to you Lucy, and let me say you look beautiful tonight my child." Master smiled. " Thank you Master I am very happy to be here right now." I beamed.

"Well my children why don't you take a walk along the lake it was decorated just for tonight." Master said. I looked at him and smiled nodding my head repeatedly. " OK master I'll take her there right now." Natsu said smiling as we walked away saying or goodbyes.

We finally got to the lake and it looked beautiful lights hanging on the trees, floating lights in the water, a red carpet and benches along the path. I sat down along with Natsu and started at my surroundings trying to remember everything. Every detail, person, animal, and star in the sky.

" Natsu I want you to make this a prom that I will never forget, one that no one will forget, I want you to make it your best memory because I don't want you to forget either....OK" I smiled sadly. "OK Luce I will make that wish come true don't worry." After that we sat in peaceful silence.

"Hey Natsu I have something to ask you." I spoke in the silence of the night." What is it Luce you know you can tell me anything." I looked at him and smiled ready to tell him everything.

"Natsu what do you think about death," I stole a glance at him and continued," I think its a funny matter considering it just takes what you want away from you. And no matter how hard you try you can never get it back." I laughed.

" What the hell Lucy why would you talk like that you know nothing of death and if you think like that then you should just die already I'm done with your bullshit, done you hear me done." Nastu snapped, I look at him with tears starting to form in my eyes but I held them back. " You think I don't know the pain of death." I whispered as I walked away.

*time skip*
Natsu pov
why did I do that, she was just asking a question. I wonder why she asked that question about death, I clearly remember the tears welling in her eyes as she was walking away.

I decided to go look for Lucy after figuring out the best way to apologize to her. as I was wondering around and saw her standing near a lake just watching the swans, I slowly approached her, "Lucy look I'm sorry about what I said earlier..... Its just a sensitive topic with me."

"Its fine Natsu you don't need to explain your self, from the way you acted earlier I assume that maybe you lost a loved one," Lucy turned to me," no that's not it, hmm then what about you almost dying....well I guess that's the answer with the face you are making." She chuckled.

"Lucy let me tell you about what happened please." I looked at her and she smiled," when I was about 10 years old I was with my grandma driving and we were hitting by a drunk driver and the car flipped and hit a couple others.... My grandma died on the spot, while me I was sent to the er because I was losing a lot of blood." I ended without looking up.

I heard the sound of heels walking towards me and felt Lucy's embrace, "Natsu I'm sorry, and I understand no one should ever have to go threw any of that..... Now why don't we enjoy prom to the fullest." Lucy smiled, I looked at her and returned a smile.

"Let's go have the best prom ever." I exclaimed. I knew that as long as I had her by my side tonight everything will be fine.
