one month (a sad nalu story)

Extra Chapter: Lucy's final moments

Lucy POV
After I finished my final chapter of my book and decided to go to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night cause I need water and when I got up I felt my heart tighten up and I fell on to the nearest object and crashed onto the ground with a loud thud. I heard banging on the door and my mom ran into my room and screamed.

" LUCY HOLD ON OK I AM GOING TO CALL A AMBULANCE OK SWEETIE!!" my mom screamed I was going in and out of consciousness. My mom ran out of the room to call somebody and I tried my best to reach for my letter to Natsu, I need to write one more thing. After I wrote what I needed to I slipped into a dark sleep then woke up in a ambulance, I had my eyes open but all I could see is black. After five minutes I was out again.

Nobody POV
" HEY KID WAKE UP!! WE ARE ALMOST AT THE HOSPITAL!" the man yelled and told the driver to go faster. "PLEASE TELL ME THAT MY BABY WILL BE OK I CANT LOSE HER YET!!" Layla yelled at the EMT. " ma'am clam down she will be fine we have notified the hospital that we are on our way and they will be ready to help her," he swallowed and was about to continue when he heard Lucy flat lining, "OH SHIT MA'AM BACK UP PLEASE I NEED TO START HER HEART BACK UP!" his voice went from calm to a panicking voice and a matter of seconds.

All that could be heard in the ambulance was a mother crying, a young girl flat lining and a man trying to save a life.

~ Hospital ~
Before the ambulance arrived they were able to get Lucy's heart beating again, when they had arrived at the hospital they rushed Lucy to the emergency wing of the hospital to make sure she made it. Despite a certain doctor knowing she won't make it threw the night.

After they got Lucy stabilized her doctor walked in and saw a beautiful young girl who stricken with a disease and had to pay the price of death because of it. She had seen tons of people who come and go, but this young girl made a difference in her life and was sad to see her go.
She took a deep sigh and walked to her mother clutching her clip broad to her chest tightly as if it was helping her fight the tears threatening to fall.

"Mrs. Heartfilia I have some papers that you need to sign," she looked at the mother and continued to explain," these papers are for when Lucy finally passes." She choked out. Layla looked as if she was the one who needed to be in the hospital instead of Lucy. "May I have some time I'm sure when Lucy wakes up, she will want to say goodbye to her friends." Layla smiled sadly as tears rolled down her face.

All she could do was say yes as she watched Layla sign the papers and knowing that she could do nothing to stop her daughters death, and she as a mother herself could never bring herself to sign the papers. Layla handed Dr Marvell the papers and asked if she can make some calls so Lucy could be with her friends in her last moments, she nodded and walked out of the room.

Time skip to 30 mins later

In a empty hospital hallway four girls ran looking for a room labeled Heartfilia. They burst open the door and saw three people a doctor with needles, a mother with a tear stained face, a a best friend they will never see again.

"Mrs Heartfilia this isn't happening right she is not dying right now.....right."Erza's choked. Layla looked up at the red head and nodded slowly and with that all four girls had tears streaming down their faces. "E-even though I knew I still wasn't prepared for it, I'm not prepared to lose my best friend." Levy cried in Juvia's arms.

With all the crying a certain blonde haired girl decided to say some final words to her friends." Girls you know I will always be in your hearts and I will always love you even when I am gone and mother I will always want to make you happy but now I am making you cry I'm sorry." Lucy whispers.

"Mrs. Heartfilia its time, would suggest saying your final good byes it is time" Dr.Marvell sadly spoke," I am going to inject you with a shot to make it as painless as possible sweetie so you won't have to suffer." Lucy only nodded her head and said a few words. Dr.Marvell injected lucy with the shot and so she won't feel the heart being torn apart.

" OK where do I start well levy..... all my books are now yours even my book.... that I just finished, Juvia......  you can have my scrap book the one you really love, Erza..... I want you to take care..... of my mom please she will be so lonely and you can have the life time supply..... of strawberry cake I won. Mira I want you to get all of our ships together and.... my camera is yours also, and mother please take care of your self.... if I could I would most definitely..... look at each and everyone of your faces. Now only a few..... more things I want you to tell Mrs. Evergreen......I finally know what I want.... to be when I grow up .... I want to be a doctor, and please tell.....Natsu.. I ....love him."lucy smiled as she stopped talking. Lucy's breathing started to slowly die down and her heartbeat slowly decrease.

All you could hear in the room was crying and a long beep indicating that the young girl was no longer with us.

Dr.Marvell POV
I left the room with the grieving family and friends, I leaned against the door and slowly started sliding down until I hit the ground. I put my hand over my mouth to muffle my sobs, she was in  love with someone and was never able to tell them.

" Mrs. Marvell are you ok, why are you crying?" Nurse kinana asked."I'm fine its just that a young girl died and she had so much she wanted to do with her life and I wasn't able to help her...she was sick and there was nothing I was able to do." I sobbed out. Kinana looked at me frowning then smiled at me,"how about you go home I will handle the family and I will tell the head doctor that something came up and you are not in the right of mind OK." She spoke to me.

I looked up at her and smiled, wiped my tears, got up and hugged her said thank you and walked away. I clocked out and headed to my house.

Time skip to home
I walked threw the front door and saw my beautiful daughter Wendy looking at me wide eyed. "Mama why are you home so early?" Wendy asked me." Just some personal problems now Wendy where is your brother?" I said looking around for him.

" oh him, he is upstairs I'll go and get him OK mama." Wendy said as she ran upstairs to get her brother. A few minutes later she totted downstairs with her brother." hey mom wen told me you are home early  because of some problems, wanna tell me about it." My son asked me.

"OK sweetie....well recently I was tasked with the health of a young girl who was 17 like you and tonight she was rushed to the hospital.... I had to watch her die, but I knew she wasn't going to make it threw the night. She was so young and bright, she was in love and now she is gone, but she passed with a smile on her face her last words were about the person she loved. Hey am I a horrible person for not helping her survive and finding a cure Natsu?" I sobbed.

My son got up and hugged me and told me it was going to be alright. "Honey can you tell me something happy." I asked. He nodded and said, "well today I was out with the girl I like and I asked her to go to the 2nd annual sakura blossoming and she said yes." Natsu spoke. I laughed happy for my son and smiled.
