Violet:

"Violet." The peppy nurse shouts my name through the waiting room. My head snaps up to her as I let out a deep breath.

I place my hand on my small bump as I stand. I'm currently three months pregnant and 19 years old.

Yes, I'm young. I probably should've waited but I believe everything happens for a reason. I love my boyfriend and I plan on loving this child to the best of my ability.

"I'm gonna go to the restroom real quick." My boyfriend Ethan mutters as he places his hand on the small of my back. I flash him a soft smile as I nod.

I turn back to the nurse and she smiles at me as Ethan makes his way to the bathroom right off of the waiting room.

Ethan and I have been dating since the beginning of senior year of high school and I moved in with him and his twin brother Grayson after graduation. I've never loved anyone the way I've loved him which is why I find myself being okay with this small bump that's placed itself into our life. Literally.

"How are you today?" The nurse smiles as she leads the way down the white halls. "Good actually." I smile back at her.

She stops at a wooden door and swings it open. "No difficulties of any kind?" She ask referring to my pregnancy. "No it's been great." I say truthfully.

So far it's been smooth sailing and I can't wait to see my beautiful baby.

"Well we still need to check up on some things and make sure the baby is nice and healthy." She perks up. I smile at her understandingly.

She grabs a pair of purple rubber gloves from the box and snaps them on. "So no strange pain of any kind?" She ask placing her hands on my small bump. "Nope." I say popping the "p". "Great." she smiles.

"You're starting to get yourself a cute little bump." She giggles. I can tell she loves her Job and seeing people have beautiful kids actually makes her day. "Yeah I'm excited." I admit.

"What about the father?" She ask scooting around on her stool to write something down. Speaking of Ethan he's been in the bathroom for a long time. I hope he's okay.

"He's a little hesitant." I say not feeling the need to lie to her. "They usually are their first time. Especially at your age." She says which makes me feel a little better. At least other girls experience the same thing with their boyfriends.

She checks a few more things and she tosses her gloves in the garbage. "So I'll see you next month." She beams. "Thank you so much." I smile, standing up and swinging my purse over my shoulder.

"Do you need help walking out?" She ask before I walk out. "No I got it." I say because I'm more worried about finding Ethan at the moment. She smiles and mutters a quick goodbye.

Where is he? My mind races as I walk down the halls and make my way towards the waiting room.

The waiting room is completely empty. The bathroom has no light leaking from its cracks. My eyebrows knit together as I tighten my grip on my purse.

I push open the clear glass doors of the hospital as the brutal wind hits me. My hair flies in front of my face and I'm quick to tuck it behind my ears as I look for Ethan's car.

It's nowhere to be seen.
