MONDAY AFTERNOON

Martin Nickolson's living room..

Elizabeth's POV

I haven't seen Francisco since Friday, and to be quite honest I really don't care to see him.

"Can I braid your hair?" I ask Lucas. He's sitting in front of me, on the floor. He turns to look at me and chuckles, while nodding his head.

I grab a chunck of his hair and part it into three pieces. I begin to braid his hair while he complains about me pulling his hair. This is what girls have to go through. Pain.

"Look Elizabeth," Pace begins, "I don't mean to offend you or make you feel bad, but why don't you find girl friends?"

I look over at him, and a part of me feels like maybe he or the rest of the guys don't want me around anymore. Maybe they're tired of having a girl around them all the time. Maybe I should get girl friends.

"Yeah, like we love having you around but don't you feel uncomfortable hanging out only with boys?" Martin comments, as he turns to look at me.

I guess they don't mind me being with them, but maybe they have a point. Then again, I don't really get along with girls. Most of the girls at school, hate me.

"Girls bring drama. You boys don't have any drama, so I feel like I'm always having a good time and not having to worry that one of you is hating on me," I shrug as I finish braiding Lucas' hair.

"Actually, I hate you a little bit because you're best friends with Lucas, and you have better hair than me," Ian jokes as he rolls his eyes playfully.

"Woah what, you think she has better hair than you?" Lucas laughs, "I thought you said nobody has better hair than you."

"Well, look at her hair. It's so long and soft," Ian reaches out to touch my hair. He smiles as he looks down at my hair in his hand. I laugh as he begins to twirl it around his finger.

"Stop that," I move my hair away from him and he fake pouts.

"Quade texted me and told me that Francisco wasn't coming along with him because he feels bad about what happened with Ian and Lucas," Martin says as he looks down at his phone.

"I don't wanna see him," I scoff as I sit back on the couch, with my knees against my chest.

Ian and Lucas exchange glances but don't say a word.

"And apparently he's gonna go out to do something," Martin continues. He looks up at us and shrugs.

"It looks like it might rain, since it's already sprinkling," Pace comments as he looks out the window.

"Do you want me to take you home?" Lucas asks as he turns to look at me.

"Yes, please," I stand up and put on my hoodie.

"Okay then, I guess I'll see you guys tomorrow," Lucas says as he dismisses himself from the boys.

"Yeah, bye guys." I wave them off and follow Lucas out the door. They all shout their goodbyes to us as we leave.

Lucas' car is parked in the driveway and we approach it quickly before we get more wet. I climb inside the passenger's seat when he unlocks the car. He climbs into the driver's seat and immediately starts the car.

"Are you going to forgive Francisco?" I ask Lucas as he begins to drive.

"For what?" He looks over at me, "he should be apologizing to Ian."
