Still at the Clinic
T'Challa POV
Amara came out of the patient, John's, room. "What brings you all here- I highly doubt you caught a disease on your first night here," she questioned playfully.
"Miss Okafor , we came hoping to get a moment with you to discuss the accords." Steve said
She quickly set a face at the mention of the accords.
" Firstly it's Amara, I'm not that formal- except your secretary Ross. He just rubs me the wrong way...."
Tony chuckled at her comments, " Sweetheart your are not the first , nor will you be the last to feel that way. He's a down right ass."
She laughed at that and good lord was it beautiful.
"Look do I understand the purpose of your document- absolutely. You strive for the accountability of those who seek to protect this world but at times do cause harm in the process. But you must understand from my point of view - the people I help are strictly on this island. I don't use my powers any where else, and when I do travel and people need my help my intellect and kindness are what I put forward first- NOT a flaming fist."
Amara POV
" Spoken as someone who has defended their position before, abathandekayo (beloved in Xhosa)" I responded to her.
" Well yes it's the same reasoning I gave to Secretary Ross. Yet he remains adamant that I sign this damn paper allowing him and his political party to dictate when I may assist my people , sounds a bit ridiculous doesn't it?"
I find it quite funny that he assumes that I don't know Xhosa.... Wait a damn minute he called me beloved.........
THE King of Wakanda just made a pass at me and my stupid ass just failed to flirt back. So gotta make up for that mistake 😏😏😏

You can only imagine the shock on his face at my knowledge of Xhosa. I let out a little laugh and continued.
" If you truly wish to discuss this further you all may come to my hoe tonight for dinner and we can speak without distractions. I do implore you that I don't wish for Ross to know my address,"
They all nodded in agreement and I excused myself back to work , smiling as I felt T'Challa's eyes roaming my boy as I walked away. Maybe we can discuss more than business tonight.
